I have been a vegetarian since 1990. I try to eat as healthy as possible on a regular basis. Food varies quite a bit. Any list I would make would only be just an example because it would depend on the type of food.
I do eat yogurt every day. I love greek yogurt, especially the faga yogurt with the separate fruit section.
For breakfast, normally oatmeal, cereal, or yogurt.
Lunch and dinner can be pretty much anything that is not meat.
Types of foods that I stay away from: filipino, cuban, brazilian, seafood and steak restaurants. Other than that, I can usually find some good things to eat.
My favorites include: california cuisine, american (Red Robbin), Italian, Mediterranean, Indian, american mexican food (not authentic because that is full of lard...and makes people really fat), greek food, Chinese, Thai (mmmm....thai food)
In fact, right now, I would say that Thai food is my fav.
When doing soups, make sure to stay away from anything with chicken broth. Lentil soup is normally one of the yummy alternatives. Lentils are a wonderful source of high protein and they are very low in fat on top of that.
