I saw Sonic 2 at toys r us a few years back. It was paused at the Aquatic Ruins level. I started playing it and I was positively dumbstruck when I heard this song. It had probably been 10 years or more since I had last heard this song (or played this game).

I've grown rusty with fighting games these days but I will never forget what the Namco sound team was working with during the days of Tekken 2 and Soul Blade (or depending on region, Soul Edge, predecessor to Soul Calibur).

To this day, I'm impressed with the entire Tekken 2 soundtrack but these three especially shine.

Love a lot of the Chrono series music. Chrono Trigger had some amazing masterpieces, but my favorite has to be Chrono Cross' opening theme "Time's Scar". It's so atypical from Squaresoft music of the time, I really love all the folk instruments and somewhat Celtic flair:

YES! I love the music in Chrono Cross and the piano versions of Chrono Trigger. I really did enjoy Final Fantasy VI, and seeing the live version of the opera made me smile :D

Oh, and for Bust a Groove, that brings back good memories.

Just listening to some of the music on these makes me think how did these guys come up with this stuff? :confused:

I mean...some of the music was so SICK! and crazy...in the best way! (!)(!)

My all time fav is the music for Lei-Lei's stage in Vampire Saviour. That music is awesome. I would get rather unhappy if I did not get to fight her when I played.
