Gotta love those Virginia republicans. The Virginia Republican Party nominated for lieutenant governor a minister who has a history of virulent anti-gay statements, among other things. Where do they get these people and why do the republicans keep shooting themselves in the foot?

E.W. Jackson says "homosexuality poisons culture, it destroys families, it destroys societies”.... that's YOU, my friends. How many of you have destroyed a society this weekend? ;)

But Since Virginia is a blue state, does this guy have a chance to get elected? Let's hope not. Liberalism looks a little bit better after reading about this guy.

Breitbart likes him.

This thread brings back memories. When I met my second lover (at a D.C. BDSM club) he asked what I was into and I replied "Well, I'm really sick." Embellishment is not necessary here.

.
Does it come as any surprise that with this kind of rhetoric, Marc Carson, the NYC gay man was murdered?

Not at all Chris Robin. And it also highlights the injustices we will face on the gay marriage level if the court doesn't make a sweeping ruling.
A bill to repeal the gay marriage ban in Virginia will have to go through two sessions of the house, and with Republicans controlling the chambers, don't expect that to happen anytime soon.

I'm fed up with these bigots telling us we are "sick."

The sick thing is people trying to foment hatred against their fellow men because they refuse to accept the way the universe is constructed.

The sick person here is E. W. Jackson.

I think we should start a campaign for a constitutional amendment to take marriage rights away from Republicans. Bigots ought not to be allowed to reproduce.

.
Perhaps "Bishop" Jackson should propose that all homosexuals should be deemed as 3/5 of a person (if that).

Here's another lovely quote from Jackson.

"Their minds are perverted, they’re frankly very sick people psychologically, mentally and emotionally and they see everything through the lens of homosexuality. When they talk about love they’re not talking about love, they’re talking about homosexual sex. So they can’t see clearly."

Anyone here agree with this republican?

SOrry, this man is a pure hateful bigot, pure and simple. It is high time start getting called out when they go on the air.

If this guy can't tell the difference between love and sex, he really doesn't know what he's talking about. He's the one with the problem.

I have a friend whose partner and him are debating a move to Maine and if Cuccinelli and this guy get elected they will. The area they live in VA is dangerous enough as it is for a mixed race couple, let alone a gay one.
You can say they should stay and fight the good fight but you have to weigh that with your own personal safety and other factors as well.
I really can't blame any who's LGBT that leaves these areas as fast as they can.

I wouldn't say that. I'm all for punishing Neanderthal areas by just leaving them. Nobody should have to sacrifice their happiness for society unless they want to.

Indeed..that is what our new neighbors did. They are a mid 20's gay couple like my partner and I who left South Carolina for here. The fact one of them is part Arab didn't help matters either.

I find it odd that so many of the people who seek to define and qualify love for other people have no idea what love actually is.

Perhaps he is working out his own demons...or maybe he's the demon:idea:. Whatever the case...he certainly fits well with the rest of his party and their collective shit for brains mentality.

INdeed...and all due respect, doesn't help the GOP with their outreach program. Being batshit crazy doesn't appeal to most people.

This is the first thing I thought of:
Johnny Nash I Can See Clearly Now

Looks like GOP is growing new crop of intolerant, bigots and candidates of hate for upcoming elections.
