Haha. You're cool then. If you live in range of a metro station, there's really no reason to drive. Even though I own a car, I don't have it here at school with me and all I need is my SmarTrip to take me everywhere I need to go!
 
Although I'm putting the Sept. 9 weekend on my calendar, I'm going to be staying in Washington Fri. 8/26 and Sat. 8/27. My days are planned, but I'll be free Friday and Saturday evenings. I'm leaving Sunday morning.

Feel free to PM me if you have any ideas
 
OK, so it looks like the weekend of the 9th works for most of us. I'd probably prefer Saturday the 10th. That'll give the out-of-towners a chance to get down here at a leisurely pace.

It has come to our attention that some people interested in coming are in the 18-21 age range. Given that, might it make more sense to start at a place like ESPNZone or Hard Rock Cafe, where everyone can get in? If we meet at something like 4 or 5, that will give everyone some quality time to hang out. After that those of us who are of age could repair to a more "adult" destination :-)

So:

1. Is the date/time good with everyone?
2. Any other suggestions on initial meeting location?
3. Who's coming?

Well I think that we should definitely request shirts from the Powers That Be. I also think that those of us organising such events should get some sort of Boys Club passes or something ;-) (Seth, JD, what say you????)

Ya, both time and place are still TBD. And I dunno about Damastes, but I don't plan on e-mailing every JUBer individually about this meet. You'd be well-advised to check the board.

I like damastes's suggestion about making a list of who's coming. If you are coming, please copy/paste this list and put your name at the end, and post for all others to see. Again, right now we have:

We also need to decided on places to go. I already suggested ESPNZone or Hard Rock Cafe to start off. Let's get some more suggestions and make a poll.

It would be a fine place to meet considering damastes and I both live in that area :-P

So are you coming? Put your name on the list like the rest of us have.

Also, if anyone is coming who is in the 18-21 age range, please say so on your RSVP so we can arrange the initial meet at a location where you can get in. Otherwise, we'll start off at the more "adult" locations.
 
Hey guys. I think that your meet might be on Sept. 10th but I am not sure. I haven't received any request for shirts. If you guys want them I need to know as soon as possible so I can mail them out. Who would be the group coordinator?

So far we think it's going to be the 10th, although we only have 3 confirmed so far.

I'd like a shirt..... I'm sure the rest of the guys would too. I'll PM you to make arrangements once we get a handle on how many people are coming.

Well so far we don't have any underagers who said "aye", so we can meet wherever.

I would suggest somewhere we can get to know each other first, like Brickskeller. Then we can take it from there. Any other ideas?
