Watch: Secret Mormon Ceremonies Revealed -- How Mormons Baptize Dead Non-Mormons

He does not believe in that. Furthermore, you won't even define or explain the context of why you are using that term on this forum. You just tell us to "look it up." The reason why you won't delve into your accusations is because you can't explain it without sounding like a racist. So you use the term over and over again, because your vague slur is just good enough to get past the moderators.

Well I'm calling you on your bullshit. Stop it.

"he does not believe in that" --- are you talking about Obama's belief in black liberation theology? He attended a church which taught BLT for over 20 years. Why else would you attend a church if you didn't believe what they taught?

How does me making that statement even come close to being racist. It's an observation.

If you attended and participated in a particular church like Obama did, I would assume you believed in the teachings of that church? How does that sound racist?

Race doesn't matter to me. I grew up with very loving parents who talk me and my sisters that the color of one's skin doesn't make them different than me. I still believe that. No one is better than anyone else.

In 2008, several videos of Obama's Rev Wright's sermon's screaming horrible things about our country including "God damn America". The congregation were cheering, clapping, and dancing in the aisles. Obama at first stood by his mentor until he saw that it was hurting him politically, and left the church. So far Wright's curse seems to have worked.

Maybe the Mormons can make Wrght's curse go away.

Here in the Dirty South Masonry & the Mormon religion are considered cults..Ignorance also plays a MAJOR role because people here are afraid of Secret groups or Faith groups that are closed to the general Public....

I would advise anyone to do their research first before passing judgement. I will NEVER become a Mason but I've worked with 3 of them @ the Bank and I was shocked that they talked about it so openly. They never gave away any SECRETS (if any exist) but still felt comfortable enough to disclose being members...

here's something for thought..All three Guys were takers and not givers...I don't know if that plays a role or not but i thought it was interesting that all 3 of them felt they were owed something and never talked about giving-back....

That's my observation that stood out....So it makes me wonder if the guys that become Masons are looking for a way to socialize and try to get FREE shit or discounts on things...LOL...

My Dad was a Mason and I don't recall any thing that was out of order. He was very religious in what he did. He was a Decon in the Baptist church that I grew up with. I saw nothing that would make him different than any one else in the room.

And just to add, He was ok with me being gay.

I can't see how a Christian could be a Mason. Conflicting beliefs.

George Washington, Teddy Roosevelt, Andrew Jackson. All were Masons.

But then again, they also had problems with christianity being the religion of the land, so what that means I have no idea.

I do know that George and Teddy mostly ACTED like a christian of their day. Jackson was a populist, and invited the entire nation to his inauguration. The whole place was looted...HA.

This is all relevent I guess in that there are so many masonic imagery adopted by the early US... Sometimes inseparable.

So my point is, be mormon or mason a christian may be? There have always been secret ceremonies associated with our leaders.

Masonry does not publicly assert anything incompatible with christianity; indeed they say the opposite. It is open to any monotheistic creed in most cases. If they indulge in anti-christian activities privately, it seems strange that they would first invite and welcome christians to participate. I would think that would likely "blow their cover." It would be like inviting the Mothers Against Drunk Driving to your secret backwoods still during the middle of prohibition.

I have known too many men who were Masons to believe that there is anything sinister about it. It is largely dying out, as fewer men want to go through the meaningless ceremony. It, and other lodges and organizations arose at a time before TV when people had little entertainment and were willing to go to meetings and such, just for something to do. Politicians at one time, we are told, would talk for two or three hours as a time, and people would stay and listen. Better than sitting at home in the candle light.

Yeah, except mine don't contradict each other left and right. Whatever. Just pointing out that painting entire groups of people with easy blanket statements is generally a bad plan.

more of "my opinions are better than your opinions" they're in fact "super opinions"

every post points to this syndrome

so much talk about romney's mormonism

by a group of gays who supposedly don't care for intolerance

pretty fucking funny shit

if it was meant in jest

The Masons are not dying out. The pop culture fascination with them is thankfully weaning.

According to a study in the '80s, four-fifths of churchgoing Americans didn't even really know what the churches they attended taught except on a few favorite points.

Much as I loved our pastor, he was practically an adopted uncle in our house, my main challenge in church was staying awake. I'm not very good at sitting through long lecture discussions.

Since in this land of no religious test for public office, there is the absolute requirement for the President to be a Christian, shouldn't that automatically disqualify Romney?
