Watch Wisconsinites Drown Out Scott Walker at State Fair Opening

I've never heard of Toll Brothers.

If you live in a house built by Toll Bros., do you live in a Toll House?

My dad used to make that corny joke all the time.......lol

If there was (is) a homebuilder most associated with "McMansions" it would probably be Toll Brothers. They're known mostly for their suburban houses they build all over the country. Although they do build condos in Manhattan & Brooklyn as well.

I believe that unions are important in ensuring that employees are being treated fairly, and that laws regarding fair treatment of employees (such as breaks, holidays, etc) are followed. But when union influence becomes too strong to the point of choking businesses & forcing them to pay out exhorbitant costs in healthcare coverage & pensions -- unions need to be kept in check too. Furthermore, businesses will flee to states with less union control, to make higher profits. As a result, all of those "union people" can be part of a union, but they won't have enough companies around to hire them. This is happening already in the "rust belt" of the upper midwest. Many major manufacturers (automobiles, electronics, furniture, computers) have moved to the Southern states, and people have followed them -- but without the excessive union domination.

Furthermore, unions can be detrimental to high quality of services. One of my friends who works as a manager for an airline at a local airport tells me how frustrating it is dealing with unruly or incompetent employees because the unions will make it difficult to fire any employee, even if the employee is a total flake & goof-off. We see it in our public schools, where incompetent teachers stay in their jobs simply because they have "tenure" and the teacher's union will put up a stink even to fire a horrible teacher, who only reads the newspaper & sleeps in the classroom or teacher's lounge.

Nice.

Well, if you want to get specific, I want to move with my future husband to Westchester County, New York. We will live in a nice suburban community, preferably built by Toll Brothers. My dream husband will take the subway to work in Manhattan, and I will take care of our home & our kids in Westchester. And at night, I will always offer my "curryhole" for my husband to f*ck (because I'm a total bottom).

I've even picked out our dream community! (I don't know if it's gated?)

"Westchester Estates at Wilson Park" (I like the way that sounds....lol)

Unions cannot unilaterally impose healthcare and pension costs on employers. Both parties have to agree to whatever is in the contract.

OK, my Dad was cremated at a Toll Brothers funeral home, (in hindsight, I really should have waited until he was dead...) so this is all a little creepy for me.

But, we're really straying from the topic here....

Why does every post you make in CE&P always make me want to v*mit by the end of reading it?

Oh and Jack:

Walker celebrated the Wisconsin jobs numbers on July 21, 2011, with this tweet: "In June, there were 18,000 net new jobs in America. In WI, there were 9,500 net new jobs! most since 9/2003."

We started by looking at the other state-by-state reports, released by the federal government at the same time Wisconsin’s numbers were issued.

Wisconsin wasn’t at the top.

That claim belonged to Texas, with an increase of 32,000 jobs. Numerous other states showed larger job gains than Wisconsin. For instance, California was up 28,800, and our neighbor Minnesota topped Wisconsin with an increase of 13,200 jobs.

Walker addressed the flawed comparisons a few days after the jobs report was released, during a July 26, 2011 appearance in Wausau.

"We made it very clear at our announcement that (our number) was not half of all the jobs out there, though it is an interesting parallel," Walker said.

We rate the state GOP claim False.

So maybe it isn't the miracle that you were led to believe by the false claim originally made by your fave governor.

Off-topic alert! :rolleyes: I have some good news and bad news:

Good news: The Readers Digest, a magazine that appears to be apropos to your many fantasies is located in Westchester County, NY. Actually, for image, they claim to be located in Pleasantville, NY, sheer genius from their marketing department. The Readers Digest - Pleasantville - how idyllic! (Don't let this get out, but the HQ is actually in Chappaqua.)

Bad news: Former President William Jefferson Clinton and his wife Hillary reside in Chappaqua. :eek:

As with Rareboy, why does every post you make in CE&P always make me want to v*mit by the end of reading it? :help:

Okay well this may be inappropriate or appropriate BUT this is where I see CE&P at Johan.....

Boston Pirate = :42
Rareboy = 1:51 (which he shares with Molten Rock)
Molten Rock = 1:51
JohanBessler = :37
Jackaroe = 1:41
Chance = 1:26
LaikaNY = 1:21
JayQueer = :52

And of course I see my self at 1:09 (mostly with a little :27 thrown in for good measure)

Have a look and hopefully a laugh....

Walker is 2 days away from losing his GOP majority in the state senate in a historic recall election, thanks to his union busting polices.

Wisconsin is not going to stand for that shit.

Does anyone know exactly how many seats the Democrats have to gain to get a majority? I read it somewhere a long time ago but I can't find it now.

Three. There are 8 elections left, 2 Dems and 6 Republicans I believe.

And hopefully, this will send another much needed lesson to the Koch Brothers.

For Wisconsinites, this isn't news. Wisconsin residents are hard-working, enthusiastic and loyal, are they not? Snot Walker and the Kock brothers have picked the wrong state and the wrong people to oppress. I think they have good memories too! If the Democrats don't regain control of the Senate on TUESDAY, it won't be due to lack of effort!

GO GET 'EM, BUCKY!

@Fellow Liberals:

It's beginning to really disconcert me that this forum, with its daily infusions of right-wing propaganda from the likes of JayQueer, Laika, and now Jackaroe, is beginning to look like Fox News.

I wonder if the owner of JUB—a porn site, after all—is aware of this? He couldn't be happy about it. After all, the same school of discipline—that is, right-wing thought—would most likely want to shut sites like JUB down, permanently.

You aren't a liberal. You're a rabid Progressive reactionary.

What about the daily infusions of left-wing propaganda from the likes of rareboy, cowboyboy, and moltenrock? Oh wait, you subscribe to that ideology, so why would you criticize it.

Yeah, i'm sure you're real disconcerted. I know you'd prefer this place was an echo chamber of like minded bobble heads.

But the video was quite sad. The far-left is no longer interested in debating like civilized human beings. These leftist loons are brazenly repugnant. These people are called Union Thugs for a reason...
