Is it true that if you keep waxing or plucking your hair it will eventually stop growing in that area?

no. if that were true women wouldn't have to pluck/wax their eyebrows, legs, etc. their entire lives.

Of course it is not true.

Otherwise us, who prefer not to have facial hair, would pluck or wax for a while, instead of shaving all the time.

you are very cute. i hope you are not waxing or plucking anything. men should be men.

WOOOOH i totally disagree lol.

some of us "men" have eyebrows that are outta control, and we just need to keep them in check.

so think of it as disciplining our hair ;-)

lol.

Yes. This is absolutely true regarding the plucking of eye brows. Ask any professional cosmetician.

Your eyebrows will continue to grow even if you pluck regularly. It's just that the pattern it grows back in can look really, really weird. That basically means once you start you have to keep doing it unless you're willing to suffer with funky eyebrows for a few months.

I thought it was because I heard it on Oprah. This one lady kept plucking her eyebrows and eventually they stopped growing.

i can understand taking care of the uni-brow but when guys wax their brows pencil thin it's just so womanly. does anyone find thin obviuosly waxed eyebrows attractive? or is it just me?

No, no, no, no, no, it absolutely will grow back. Your entire life. I've been plucking my unibrow my entire life, and in just a couple days I have to pluck it again. Thank god it's blonde...

Do you think anybody would spend the money on laser and other types of hair removal if all they had to do was wax a few times?

I think you're totally cute too. What part of you are you thinking of waxing (ouch) or plucking (worse ouch)?

i remember those old infomercial for that wax called "Nads" that they advertised that after a year or two of using it the hair would stop growing

I have major bushy eyebrows so I need to get them threaded rather frequently. It's still growing...

I've been getting my body waxed all over for over a year now. I wasn't a really hairy guy to begin with, but I will say that especially in the armpit and genital regions the amount of hair has really thinned out.

I haven't noticed change of growth patterns because it's always grown pretty erratically down there.

I am interested in hearing if this Nads product stops growth after a couple of years. I would love for it to be permanent!

Waxing/plucking will affect regrowth. It may not stop it, but it will thin the hair over time, and the trauma to the hair folicles may affect the pattern of regrowth.

Ever notice old women who have no eyebrows and have to draw them in? They didn't just randomly go bald in that one spot, you know.

[-X Maybe the older womans eyebrow hairs just move south to above the lips?

Those laser/light treatments don't work. Wait six months and you'll see it will all grow back.
