Weirdest thing someone said to you when you told them you were gay.

Well finally I came out today that I'm bi. First to my younger and only sister in the middle of the day. She was already prepaired because of the many hints.

Her reaction: "You'll always be my brother no matter what and I'll always love you. But if you're dating a guy, please don't kiss when I'm near unless there's something I can trough up in."

We chilled afterwards and had icecream. Her treat.

About an hour ago I decided to tell my parents too. I was very nervous of how they my react, mostly my father. It went like this:

Me: I need to talk about something.
Mom: Okay, tell us.
Me: I don't know how to start and I'm afraid how you'll react.
Mom: Go on we're listning.
Me: You'll have to know that I didn't made this up today, but I'm bi. (Gay would've been funny in this line.)
Dad: How do you know? (That's original.)
Me: Because I have equal feelings for men and women.
Dad: Are you sure?
Me: Yes I'm sure.
Dad: Don't you have a preference for one of the two?
Me: No, I don't (know at the moment).
Dad: There has to be. You know that I want to see that you take a woman home and not a man.
Me: I know you do, but I'll let love decide for me and not you or no one else.
Mom: Everybody has bi feelings. (Mom tries to help me.)
Me: That may be, but I know that I have it.
Dad: Please try it, it's not too late.

After that there was silence and I knew that I could better stop before I get a big argue with my dad without getting what's good or not. So my mom thinks it's okay, but my father can't realy deal with it because of the issues on his side of the family.

Hopefully it doesn't get worse when it's leaving the house. For now I'm taking the closet everywhere with me except in my house.

I've only come out to 3 of my friends so far (will come out to more people with time).

My weirdest reply thus far?

"But I thought you like Taylor Swift?"

My answer: "I do like Taylor Swift. I like her music. But that doesn't mean that I want to have sex with her."

This happen when I had a sleep over at my best friend house.
It was when I am 15 yo.

So I was lying on my bestfriend bed with him beside me, had another friend outside watching straight porn.

So I started talking and I was telling him who is gay in our school and then suddenly, I just told him I was gay.
He went quiet and pause for awhile. He didnt say anything much though. I was expecting some reaction but non. We still continue to talk.

The next day, text me and told me he didn't say a thing because he was afraid. I asked if he is afraid that I's raped him or something and he said yes. I just told him he wasn't my type.

Since then, we have been closer and very much like bros.

He always jokingly say "you will be my last and only gay friend" and I just lol. Well he now know of another gay friend haha. That he then said "now I will only know 2 gay friends"

Its nice to come out to him.

The other time, this girl friend of mine, I pull her out of the class room and told her that I'm gay.
I got "But you don't look like one." She ended up asking how is the sex. haha

The other time, I was dating this guy so we were texting each other often. We were on the train though, so asked me who am I texting, I told her some friend. we were play truth or dare then on the train so it was her turn and she asked me that question again. So no choice but to show her the text msgs. haha

They were all cool with it. :D

Lol I came out at work and I was openly gay all along but for some reason these two girls didn't know so when they were talking about their periods and their boyfriends I looked at them and then they were like OH YOU'LL KNOW WHAT WE TALKING ABOUT WHEN YOU HAVE A GF and I'm like...I'm gay.

They were like "really, are you joking? i just thought you were shy?"

haha

Being outed because people dont respect privacy while I was on the phone with a guy I had something with.

Mom: Are you gay!?

(long argument, me trying to lie about)

and then...

Me: I am gay!

mom: (she tried to choke me) "Your scum!" "Your an abomination!"

and while she was talking to my older sister

mom: "I hope he kills himself!"

Yep. fun times.

Girl at work : "Yeah, and?"

Later after she texts the other gay guy from work, he responds: "So fucking called it!"

Friend: "That would explain why you didn't flirt back"

He's probably a closet case. :D

Unfortunately, she's the abomination. Or maybe she just needs more time. (Not sure how long ago this was).

We all like to think we're fooling other people, but we rarely are.

Me telling my best friend over the phone:

Me: Hey, you know I have something really important to tell you that i need to let out of my chest.

Her: Sure, what?

Me: I think i might be bisexual

Her: I'm not falling for that? No your not.

Me: What!!!?? I am, i love cock!

Her: Common, ur joking like you always do and im not falling for it this time.

Me: You know what, it took me a long time to tell you and you dont believe me, i am bi.

***************Silence******************

Me: I will hang-up now so you can absorb what i just told you and I will see you tomorrow!

Next day:

Her: OMG, I HAVE A GAY FRIEND

LOLOLOLOLOL

hmm nothing weird

mum was like is your BF coming over for christmas

dad is he coming over for the wedding

oh actually my sister told me about when she kissed a girl and her bf at the time had also kissed her about a month earlier (they were in high school) lol ;)

I don't think I've ever had any funny reactions. I've had a lot of people tell me they wouldn't have expected it, but I've also had people tell me they knew the second they started talking to me. I wouldn't describe myself as being effeminate, but I'm not really a "guy's guy" either.

Probably the funniest reaction was when I told my grandma and she said "that's fine, honey. But please, don't date any bisexual men. I see them all the time on survivor and they can't keep it in their pants." How random.

This girl I went to high school with was at a party and found out about me, she used to flirt with me but she came up to me and pretended to be a gay man saying in all seriousness "Girl, what is up?" I looked at her like she was nuts. She thought she had to act gay because i was gay.

I told a "christian" freind of mine and she we were having a discussion about it and i said, "homosexuality has been around since the beginning of time."
She replied back "And so has MURDER!" Does that make it right?" Yeesh

She then tried to be my freind and she starting dating a guy and asked me for advice because i always have had the both "the male and female point of view" and help her out. LOL

My dad (tongue in cheek): "Does this mean you're going to become a Democrat?"

It really helped to make it less stressful.

My dad (tongue in cheek): "Does this mean you're going to become a Democrat?"

It really helped to make it less stressful.

My dad almost had a heart attack when I came out as a Democrat, I don't think he could take it if I told him I am gay. My dad always said he would disown me if he ever caught me with a black girl so I said yeah, I don't think that is a problem dad.

There are just some people in this world who just don't need to know, it isn't my mission to reform bigots, even when they are family. There are just some parts of my life that they will never know about.

My mum's drunken gay best friend was at our house and stumbled outside while I was talking to my friend and ended up asking me if I was gay. I told him yes and he just said "cool" and then went on to offer me and my best friend driving lessons because my dad and her mum are too lazy...

K just got this one a few days ago from a gal at work.

'Are you gay?' her
'Yup' me
'No way'
'yup'
'are you sure'
'pretty sure'
'no you're not'
'yea I am'
'no you're not'
'yea I am'
'no you're not'
'yea I am'
'are you sure'
'yup'
'damn'

I kid you not that's exactly how the conversation went.

Some other ones I've gotten.

'So what does it taste like?' (in reference to sucking dick)
'Are you sure?'
'Have you ever taken it up the butt?'
'Do you think I'm hot?'
'So who have you done it with?'
'Do you check out the guys in the lockerroom?'
'How do you know?'
'Liar' (I'm not kidding I have no idea how many times I've been called a liar when coming out to people.)
'Does it hurt?' (butt sex)
'Do you have diarrhea alot?'

My mom said 'I still love you anyway' (since then she's given up on me giving her grandkids for some reason.... not really sure she grasps the concept of surrogate)
My dad said 'Go to your room'
My grandfather said 'So that's why you carry a purse.' To which I had to reply 'It's not a purse, it's a bag that I carry around to keep my stuff in.' To which he replied 'So it's a purse.'
My grandmother said ' ..... ' (she didn't actually say dot dot dot dot dot dot, but when i told her she didn't say anything, later found out that I was put on the prayer list at church, guess it didn't work so well *giggle*

My dad is a man’s man. His idea of fun consisted of changing the oil in my car and watching soccer on TV. So when it came time to tell him, I was especially worried that he would think less of his sissy, artsy, sensitive son.

But as it turned out, he didn’t really care. His response to my 18-year-long secret was quite literally the last thing I would have expected him to say. “Are you a flamer?,” he asked.

To this day, I don’t think he actually knows what a flamer is, but somehow I managed to answer him between the explosion of laughter and the sigh of relief. “No, Dad. I’m not what you would call a flamer.

my sister

"Well i knew before you, remember the purple flowery shorts ? you were only 4 as well"

my best friend

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE REALLY BUT YOUR SO RUDE WITH THE GIRLS"

i was like "urr yeah if i was straight that would nearly be a crime"

another friend "well 13 years ive known you, FUCK ME YOU COULD HAVE FUCKING TOLD ME"

and one friend punched me then disappeared. but he was a twat

this guy a use to work with (he is gay too) said

"YAY YOUR THE BEST HAHA I KNEW IT I THOUGHT YOUR WIT WAS TOO QUICK TO BE STRAIGHT"

made me laugh :)

Okay, this one isn't reallyfunny, just weird in my opinion. I guess because of all the responses I expected, I never expected this one:

Me: You know how I've never had a girlfriend, right?

Mom: Yeah.

Me: Well, I'm gay.

Mom: I don't think you are.

Me: Yes I am.

Mom: No you're not. I know you're not.

Me: Yes I am. I'm gay.

Mom: I think you need to pray about it. I don't think you are.

Me: Well, okay. :(:( (I really didn't know what else to say.)

Nine months later, my parents still don't believe me. I kinda don't know what to do, to be honest. Oh well, I've done the best I can. Oh well. :(

Everybody else has said "Yeah, I already knew. So what are your plans for today?" Those reactions make me smle. :D
