My presumption was —and is— that this particular story is a mere concept for one of the countless fanfiction works where TV show characters (spaceship crew, vampires, zombies, faes, pixies, etc.etc.) have a sexual encounter — in many cases it's better for the audience when this happens off-screen ;)
