Well, it's Friday night. Are YOU going out???

This Friday night I'm going to The Sound Of Music Festival in Burlington, ON. It's the first night of the festival and it has an all 80's Canadian band line up that night. And it's free!!! Going to see The Spoons, The Kings, The Grapes Of Wrath and Honeymoon Suite. All in one night.
 
I am staying home this evening because I have an early Saturday morning meeting with a friend
 
No, I'm home tonight, but I saw the play "The Book of Mormon" Thursday night. It's a pretty good play and I enjoyed it, but I wouldn't try to see it twice, especially not at their prices.
 
Oops $hit, I had to turn down a dinner invitation for this evening because I was behind on assignments. Now I am caught up and gotta figure out other entertainment ideas & I hate dining alone.
 
Come to my house.... South Kansas City... I am just about to roast the musrooms and the polenta is cooking.... oh and I just popped the top on a French red wine....

Had breakfast with a guy who was in town on tour, then off to an all-day music festival. Lots of great music, and even more great conversation. Went to a hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant with one of the bands afterwards. Contentedly lying in bed with a belly full of nachos and peach margaritas, thinking what a great day it was...and how stunned I am that I got back before ten!

Sir Ron took a shower to cool off, and now I am sitting in a pair of pajamas, in my air conditioned home, listening to the thunder and lightning outside, watching the late news, and just reveling in my solitude.
 
I think I'm almost back to being human...ugh!

Hubby was lead stylist at a fashion show at the Opera Ultra Lounge in DC. A friend of ours from New York was the designer and packed the place. For a straight bar, it was one of the best I've been to in DC with lots of room, great DJ, amazing lighting, and perfect setting for a fashion show. Miss DC was a wonderful (and sweet) mistress of ceremony!

Only problem was our drinks were comped and the owner was so happy he set up a VIP table with pretty much unlimited drinks. The girls he assigned to our table were not stingy on the vodka (which I noticed after three drinks). Of course we then had to go to Nine for a night cap and see some friends. The bartenders are both friends and "made us" drink shots to close out the night! lol!

I think we are supposed to go to DC-9 for "Pink Sock" or something tonight; not sure I can handle another night out!
 
we stayed in on Friday.

I'm house sitting for my parents this weekend, so my boyfriend came over to keep me company... went for a swim in my parents pool, threw some salmon on the grill, and we spent the rest of the night on the couch watching tv.

went out to dinner with my friends last night, but it was literally dinner and back home alone. I had to wake up at 4 am this morning for work :cry:
