  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Well, there goes a big piece of my self-respect

There ya go.... just get an iBag. Then it will be in Style! :D

Or you can just learn to live with less.....

Keep most of those things at home. Gives you a reason to go back. Plus they are not gonna run away while you're gone. They will be there when you get back. ;)

O.k> Jasun....I just reread your "list".......

Phone......inside pocket of a jacket...unless you still have that bulky 1990's version, it should fit.

Book.....Book?! You live in California and you want to have your nose in a book when you go out?!

Toothbrush.......keep it at home. Pac of TicTacs will fit in your back pocket. Trust me---I'm very paranoid about my breath and I go thru like a pac every two days. Works just the same.

Ipod and headphones......while on a motorcycle (hopefully) wearing a helmet, at a high rate of speed on the highway. We'll miss you very much Jasun........

IPad........Understandable.....But hopefully it won't get stolen.

I am though, trying to picture you wearing a manpac around your waist carrying enough stuff equal to you weight, without tipping over. ;)......................

I really hate the words manpurse or murse. It really does a disservice to gender politics to make men feel overly feminine for carrying A BAG. It's just a fucking bag. It doesn't even RESEMBLE a purse, except for maybe the over-the-shoulder way of carrying it. The whole thing is so ridiculous!

I live in New York and read A LOT. I carry a messenger bag everywhere I go, and nothing and no one can tell me that makes me too effeminate.

Jasun, go ahead and get your messenger bag and don't be ashamed. All the bag says about you is that you have shit you need to hold.

Um.. I live i Southern California. Aside from my motorcycle riding jacket, I don't have one.

Sure, you go grab a coffee, go out for lunch... it's not like I'm going to just stare into space.

No no.. I brush my teeth after every meal.

Not while I'm riding but yes, I do carry one a lot.

Not going to do me much good at my house.

I can hurt you.

Do I LOOK like Andy Griffith?

And what if I go into anaphylaxis? I can't really just go home. I work in Sun Valley, live in Silver Lake... remember in a city of 13 million people, getting around isn't that easy.

Don't listen to the rest of them, Jasun. They're just envious because they're not manly enough to carry one! They're very handy. Better than trying to juggle too many things, or squishing them into a small bag that will damage them, or rip. And, it definitely beats doing without!

Get a nice, sophisticated black leather one. That'll show 'em!!

And I second the call for you to model it, when you get it. :D

What you need is a nice wheeled shopping cart - go anywhere with it, and when you feel a bit tottery it'll help you from falling:

I use this one from Dakine in khaki. I like it because it has rigid sides so it keeps its shape and can stand on its own when on the ground or table. It fits my 12" laptop, some magazines/papers, and other essentials perfectly.

I also have this other one from Ben Sherman.

My friend has a "tactical messenger bag" that he thought was more manly because it's made for military/hunting guys to carry ammo.

I usually just carry my wallet and my cell phone.

I don't see a need to carry books and all that other stuff with me. If I had a lap top I'd get a bad for that but I don't think I could carry around a purse with me and feel comfortable doing it. Unless it was like for your job or something but a book bag is better. Those man purses just look uber gay to me no offense.

What's an epi pen?

Jasun,
I think this is a perfect fit!

I'm not feminine but I would gladly carry around a handbag with me if it were socially acceptable to. They are just so useful for carrying stuff around in. Sit perfectly on your shoulder or in your hand to swing at the nearest homeless drunk if the opportunity arrises. Plus I have a lot of crap in my pocket and it just ruins the line of your trousers having two tonnes of shite in the pockets.

Go to Fes in Morroco and get yourself a really nice camel leather shoulder bag you can either carry from your shoulder or detach the strap and carry like a briefcase.
