I know people are living longer and 60 is the new 40 and all that bollocks, but at what age do you consider someone old ?

I'd say once you reach 30 it's all but over for you.

When I wear diapers and it's not a fetish. I am 66 and don't see myself as old yet.

18 is adult.
35/40 is middle-aged
50 plus is old.
70 plus is ancient.
90 plus is living corpse.

I always thought 25 was very old, and after that it was a case of waiting for death. I was wrong! It’s a very good age, and you’re never too old for most things in life.
So get out there, live life, and paint the town vivid red until you literally cannot do it anymore! ;)

For me 60 is the start of old age.

How old is Vannie?

Let's check.

Depends on the person. 70 for some, 80 for others.

"Mom, I'm middle-aged."
"How can you be middle-aged? I'm middle-aged!"

When Dante finds himself lost in a dark wood and begins his adventure, he describes himself as in the middle of his life. He was 35. So when, I wonder was old at that time?

I was reminding myself recently that I'm now 3 years older than Raphael when he died, and have accomplished so little in comparison.

When one is unable to care fully for oneself.

The caveat being that you are not handicapped.

I used to think that you were over the hill at 25 and then changed that to 30. I think that middle age starts at about 35. Although you start declining sometime after 50, I don't consider you old until at least 62/65, but that is the beginning of old and is still manageable old. More dependent old starts about 75/80.

Senescence becomes obvious and debilitating in one's 80s with very few exceptions. I would not consider someone in excellent health and possibly still working in his 70s to be "old."

I might look forward to growing old if I could retire here:
