Attention What are you doing at the moment? 2024-25

In from mowing the upper lawns and laneways after doing some office work early this morning.

I probably could just finish off the lower orchard lawn...but I am more interested in a nap this afternoon after Missy, the fullish moon, BooBoo and the grain elevator dryers ruined my sleep last night.
 
Also very sad today.

A woman I knew and loved when she was a young girl has died of apparent suicide in her 30's. She has been living out east in Canada for some time and was a respected conservationist.

She is also one of the namesakes for our cat Missy. :(

I still have the pictures of dinosaurs she drew for us when she was 6.....😢

Waiting for my great-nephews to show up for a visit. Yesterday I heard that my great-nephews, 9 and 5, from Toledo, a 2 hour drive away, had an event in Cleveland and would stop by for awhile. The 9 year old has asthma and is allergic to to dust and mold. We don't clean enough and have a lot of dust and mold. I spent all afternoon and a little time yesterday cleaning and some more time this morning. I was beat yesterday because I normally don't do much work. I see them about every 5 years, so I am looking forward to the visit.

I should have added that of course their parents, my niece and nephew-in-law, will stop by as well and I will enjoy seeing them as well.

hahaha...I am so glad that we don't have to see our g-nephews until Christmas...if even then.

As I have noted on JUB before...while I love them, I don't really like them at this point and the onus is on them now over the next decade to change that. They are tiresome and whiney and clever and cynical and manipulative.

And I am giving them the benefit of the doubt...they both could become really interesting adults but at this point....as the Jesuits say....show me the child and I'll show you the man.
 
Just harvested the first batch of tomatoes...not a huge harvest this year...I have been a neglectful gardener while I haven't been feeling the best.

Our hot pepper crop is maturing nicely though.

And the Kale and leeks are doing great.

Doing one of my hobbies, people watching. Our neighbor was getting a new refrigerator. I waited to see if they took the old one, but apparently they left it. The truck was parked on our side of the street and a car was parked on the other side. I usually think our street is too narrow for three cars to get through, but some cars squeezed through. I'm not too good a driver and might have had a problem. Two houses down the neighbor has one dog and they are baby sitting their son's dog. Another neighbor I know came there with their dog and they are talking and visiting and another neighbor from the next street came by walking their two dogs and stopped to visit there as well. They are having a dog convention with 5 dogs and 3 women. I finished my breakfast from Dunkin Donuts. I am going to go to the mall to walk since it is already in the high 70's F outside.
 
Back from a few hours in the office. With people on contract now working from home most days, including overseas, I am able to fuck off back home to work as well.

I thought only dogs can hear dog whistles. Is that just another myth?

I don't think we know enough about these women to imply that they are bitches.
 
hmmmm...struggling with a weather head this afternoon...just took some more acetominiphen.

My daily nap didn't work to alleviate it.
