Working from home today because it is just paperwork and co-ordination of projects with consultants via ZOOM.

Last years it was in the fridge, this year is the first time we'll try basting.

Our previous aluminum tin got holes in it. We got a new one this week. In The Netherlands X-Mas pudding is known, but we do not usually prepare it ourselves.

It's a wonderful recipe you gave us.

OT: having a cup of tea after Sint Nicholas shopping. (bought a chocolate letter for my boyfriend).
 
Neighbor friends just dropped off a homemade turkey pot pie that was absolutely flaky and rich and delicious.

Having a big wedge of that with a glass of wine.
 
Slow quiet start to Saturday.

Making some pie crust and finish some laundry and changing beds.
 
Debating if I should get a fire going and just vegetate for a while. Chilly day and I didn't sleep well.
 
Making a big pot of kapusniak for lunch.

Vannie would you like some?
 
Baking a pie and getting ready to go to a Birthday party this afternoon.
 
Finishing a 3 egg omelette with spinach and feta cheese, home fries, and whole wheat toast.

Nephew brought me from our local Diner.

I ate the whole thing. Someone rub my belly. :(
 
Back from the 100th year birthday party, knowing my Dad would be so chuffed that we take such care of his sis.

He would have been 104 this month.

Diet coke is too sour and too faux sweet. Artificial sweeteners are the plague.

Fruit juice isn't something you can usually drink all night.

Alcohol is the drug that ever disappoints... I've moved on... mostly. Use it mostly for cooking.
Sometimes I do turn around and try hard drinks I haven't had before.

Recently a young lady in a bar wouldn't serve me hard liquor after four glasses.

Also bought a box of wines at a wine fair in Lille and had a TGV-cocktail (not the best 'synergy' of tastes) at one of the gay saunas there.

But many alcohol free (considerably lower alcohol) beers are actually quite palatable these days.

About to baste our X-Mas pudding with dark rum.
