  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Attention What are you doing at the moment? 2024-25

Skipping work. Woke up feeling dizzy. It’s crazy how perceptive cats are, the boys aren’t trying to get me out of bed like normal. Zeus is guarding the door and Apollo is licking me.

Hope you're feeling better Ali. That's something with animals how they have that sense of something being wrong. I had vertigo years ago and thought it was all over.

Been a bit busy with taking on a few larger catering jobs. Everyone stay safe with our heatwaves. Is it winter yet?

About as bad as the really saucy ones when they get scalloped.

Today...recovering from the trip into TO for dinner and a concert...working on completing a report that I never want to see again and getting ready for a bit of a lie down
and read.

Fighting off a bad headache not made better by people being horrid today.

Just watched bits of Fail-Safe again, and it's just as epic as ever.

Still love the focus that filming it in black & white forces.

I just finished looking through an old year book for a college which I attended for a period when I was young. It leaves me feeling a bit sad for various reasons.

One sadness: unlike most college guys, I never got laid. (For that matter, I never got laid, period. And I know my chances of getting laid might have been better with my 19 year-old body than the one I currently inhabit.) At age 19, I was in a state of denial. It was an amazing level of denial, since I was surrounded by good looking guys each and every day, but I was still able to ignore that inconvenient sexual attraction I had. Of course, I doubt anyone was openly out--the only people I knew of who were gay were a few professors, and they weren't openly out--it was more of an was an open secret. And probably they kept it Top Secret until that magic day they had tenure. And let's not forget the AIDS crisis, which scared the crap out of me, to a point where I don't even think I'd have been willing to participate in even a circle jerk.

I came home from having lunch at a restaurant. My boss invited everyone for lunch before summer break. I enjoyed eating with our little band of weirdos :ROFLMAO:
I was seated between the fat woman and the cool, young guy

Working my way through the Friday before a working holiday weekend when hopefully I will catch up on finishing a report.

Normally everyone whould have fucked off by now on a long weekend Friday, but the weather is iffy and it seems people want to load me up before they walk out the door.

No matter. In about 20 minutes I am off for a nap. It is likely the only time I will get a nap this weekend.

Worrying about kitty. She has some kind of respiratory illness, and now the right side of her face is bigger than the left. I don't know if she ate something outside, got stung, got in a fight with a stray, or what. She doesn't seem sick enough to take to a vet, but she isn't herself. Maybe coming in and out with 98 degrees and 70 degrees is making her sick. Her fur is undamaged, so a fight doesn't seem likely.

A dental abscess maybe? I would definitely schedule a trip to the vet.

Well, she isn't exhibiting any signs of pain when I touch around her face or jaw. She was sneezing and sounding like she has phlegm. I've now watched several cat videos where mucous is extracted after the cats expels part of it. I've never seen her sneeze out anythting, but she has stopped sneezing.

You're right though. If she isn't on the mend this morning, I'm taking her in.

Thanks for the advice. I do worry that she'll eat something outside and get something stuck in her mouth or sinuses like dogs too often do with bones or sticks.

I just read an article about plants you should not grow next to tomato plants. Cabbage was on that list. I wonder where Vannie could find a place in his garden that's away from a cabage plant to put in some tomatoes?
