I remember bus driver talking about a heat wave a few years ago. So severe that AC wouldn't work on her bus, due to limited engine power. She said she got home and grabbed two beers: one to drink, one to use as an icepack! :lol:
 
I'm too jacked up to sleep tonight. So instead, I'm listening to music, drinking wine coolers, and spending quality time with a playful Boxer who seems just as wired as I am. Obviously my weird sleep schedules are affecting his. He's a good boy though. We just went night-swimming together.

Well I primed my new compressor only to find that the hose for it has to be quick connect and not the one I have.

But took the wagon up to the garden and pulled all the beets...which were probably acutually ready about 2 weeks ago from the size of some of them.

Hopefully we'll get some good pickled beets and borscht from them. Last years beets were tasteless and after all the work of prepping them, we just threw them out for compost.
