Attention What are you doing at the moment? 2024-25

Just got back from our community/recreation center after walking. The track was a little crowded at first. The bocce courts and pickle ball courts were full, but the basketball courts were empty now. Earlier this morning I went to McDonald's and bought 2 breakfast burritos and coffee and there was a police car there near a red car. I thought he was checking out the red car at first, but as I went around to get out, he had something near his face and I thought he is standing in the aisle drinking his coffee, although not blocking it, and then realized that it wasn't coffee but might have been binoculars, or a camera, and he was looking across the street toward the CVS. I wanted to park and knock on his window and ask what he was doing, but I am not that dumb.

Monday I had gone to the auto show, which is going on this week, to look at the new cars and spent 3.5 hours there.
 
A load of laundry done and in the dryer. Pondering if I should do a second load, but I'm worried doing a second load would be too much excitement for the afternoon.
 
Trying to avoid doing anything constructive...

In the background, I'm playing an CD I just the other day of excerpts from Carmen. Mixed feelings about it--not the best recording in raw sound quality terms--I have a feeling this CD was budget new--but at the moment if I want to hear anything from Carmen this CD is my only choice. I do have LPs, including at least 2 more or less complete performances, but alas I don't have a working turntable at the moment. :cry:

Meanwhile, the tumble dryer is busy tumble drying what I hope is the last load of laundry for the weekend.
 
Also thinking of the Carmen take off:

I made a 10 inch Italian hero with ham salami and provolone cheese. Oil and vinegar and seasonings. Cut it it 3 pieces and was only going to eat 2.

I ate the whole thing. :confused:

Trying to work my way through feelings today...

The snow and the wind took down our east barn on the weekend...a 150 year old structure. There have been a number of old barns and drivesheds down in Ontario this winter because of the snow load and winds....I can't do anything until spring now, of course

I found out that as I suspected for the last two months, my upper right molar is fractured and infected now. I am hoping to have an extraction and implant on the same day but until they do a 3D CT we won't know if it is possible. I can't afford to lose another molar. I lost the upper left some years ago after a root canal and a titanium crown and then the root fractured and it became terribly infected and after it was extracted and I was on antibiotics for 30 days, I was so worn down I got shingles and that was 165 days of agony...so I never got the implant

And of course, every day of the United States triggers existential dread. Tomorrow tariffs are imposed that will undoubtedly complicate my professional life. I pray for the death of Trump every day.

So, on painkillers and now anti-biotics until I can see the surgeon on Monday.

I also bought the first bottle of KetelOne that I've had around for months...typically I just stick to wine after work.

It is raining here today.

Trump is still not dead.
