  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Attention What are you doing at the moment? 2024-25

So kind of stuck again today while I wait for answers and information.

Not thrilled to have yet another project moving forward.

But this is probably because my molar is still really painful.

A load of laundry in the dryer. Today's brain dead moment: washing something that was already clean. I guess it'll be twice as clean now.

I have some pinto beans cooking that I can use for chili later.

Came home from work and set all the clocks ahead. It is 11:59, so 10:59, no it is 11:59. I will go to bed and sort it tomorrow.

Up after a nap...but not a really great one...have talked to the famille and now ready to tuck into a turkey pie for Sunday dins.

I had to work today. :(

I think I will now only be free when I die.

^ Reminds me of my brother in-law Dan

We did a trip to California and drove from Citrus Heights to San Diego. And he sang that over and over with much zeal. :)

Actually I woke up from a nap a little while ago and now I'm looking for a late supper.

Just finished an article on how to "make" regular pans "nonstick." The trick is one I've heard before: heat the pan before adding oil. The article included the "helpful" pointer that one will have to redo this trick each time one uses the pan. What? I sarcastically thought. A bit of cooking oil poured into a hot pan won't permanently create a nonstick coating?

I just got back from the grocery store, where I got HEAD!!!!!

Head of cabbage, that is.

Spent much of this afternoon browsing the internet on the Middle-Ages again. I'm a fantasy fan, so of course my interest in that period is hard to let go of. Being a fan of George Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series as of 2013 only re-strengthened it. I'm almost bored stiff with modern life. I just find that period and the Renaissance just much more interesting.

Yep, I'm learning to play the 5 string banjo.

I love Country music and so I thought I would have a go at learning the banjo to keep me occupied in my twilight years. :gogirl:

My goal is to eventually be able to play a (simplified) version of the classic 'Boil 'Em Cabbage Down'. Still a way to go yet.

Q. What is perfect pitch in music?

A. When you throw a banjo into a Dumpster and hit an accordion dead center.
