Waking up in bed in Amsterdam after a dramatic date with a bottom the night before King's Day.

People were clamoring in de streets in Amsterdam last night. It was already too busy and the festival starts tomorrow.

Since the closing of many of the vanilla gay venues, I almost never meet any of them any more, but we had a date earlier this week.

He kept talking and asking what I wanted (yet not listening). Then he got angry and said I was boring and that I had to get the hell out of his house. So I did.

Washing a load of laundry.

I didn't bother washing a few things because of lack of drying space. I'm half contemplaing just throwing some of those clothes away--it would be an easy way to reduce my laundry backlog. And those items are getting to a point where they are pretty close to worn out. But this goes against my long running I'm Really Cheap frugal policy: keep clothes until they are completely and totally useless.

Boring compared to ^

Laundry and dishes

In the background, I am playing a CD of various classical repertoire works arranged for the saxophone.

One track is from Water Music. And to think in the past I bought at least one Water Music record that was done using period correct instruments, rather than holding out for a performance using saxophones.

Just finished a cup of herbal tea. Curled up cozily under the blanket on this chill night. Yeah, the temperatures have dropped for a while.

I just had a bowl of brussel sprouts

And I’m 3D printing a crossbow and bolts.
I was kidding.

I was watching a mini marathon of Jacques Pepin and Julia Child. Pepin is one of the best. Almost 90 years old.

A crossbow and bolts....

I wasn’t. They were delicious, but I also had kielbasa and sauerkraut.

Recovering from a 'Gala' benefit dinner last night.

Noisy, overbearingly pretentious and everything I hate about them. Including mediocre wine and buffet food lines.

Just made almost a dozen breakfast burritos to take to friends at work tthis week. Half were bacon and half were ham. Always feels nice to face a week with breakfasts already knocked out.

On to clean my cars, inside and out, then mow.

Day of so much rest. Or is it so much for the day of rest?

The stitches in my mouth come out tomorrow but they also hurt like hell today.

I am about to give in to my cold and go for a nap. I did a whole pile of work this morning and mixed the ingredients and made pastry to assemble a ham pie later.

And have left a huge pile of laundry at the laundry room to do later.
