  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Attention What are you doing at the moment? 2024-25

I have all kinds of stuff going on in my head right now.

I just had a nice poop and a long shower. In that order. I hate when it's the other way around.

I'm hungry so what should I make or order. I want food now!!!

Why was I so lazy today?

Does Hoody wanna pet my lemur?

I guess that's it.

I am trying to kick a study out the door, which means that while I have the quiet, I spent yesterday and today working on the final sections.

But my brain is numb, I am just working 7 days a week now and overwhelmed.

All the money in the bank account account is not buying us gardening time, house cleaners or a whole lot of other basic activities of daily living support.

Still scrambling for an arborist, a plumber, an electrician, housekeepers, lawn and garden muscle, carpenters and a good masseur.

Ironing towels gets them dry quickly but it is so boring.
Plus I think technically towels say: "Don't iron" on the care label. Not that I'm ambitious enough to consider ironing much of anything...

I remember my father once commenting how my grandmother would do all week's ironing at once after laundry day. I've wondered if part of the motivation for that approach was to help finish drying clothes that came off the line almost but not quite dry.

Actually, catching clothes drying on the line while they are still damp (you learn when) works better than the steam setting on the iron, or a spritzer. And catching those wrinkles before they dry into the fabric makes them much easier to battle.

Slightly moist clothes iron better than hard-dried clothes. That's why some irons have little water jets.

/\ I'd bet his grandmother learnt about this back when a lot of people were still using irons that were solid iron heated on a wood stove.

I brought the towels (which I'd put on the outdoor line) to finish drying. So loaded with fresh outdoor scent. And probably spring time pollen Oh, well...we can't have everything...

Off to meet about a new project that I dread.

Want to be loafing today instead.

Okay, I voted in today's Ohio Primary election. There was just one issue on the ballot, a bond issue. They were waiting for me and said, now we have had 83 people vote so far. At least it proves that they haven't removed me from the voting register.

Relaxing after cooking, doing laundry, getting blood test for next week doctors appointment and working in yard. My day off from work.

Solid day of meetings and reports. Decompressing.

And my tongue is trying to gently work out another bone shard from my molar extraction and bone graft...how fucking many more do I have to put up with?
