  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What are you doing right now?

Did a catering order very early morning so I just woke up from a nap.

Sipping a strong cappuccino and thinking of what to make for dinner.

Just got back from a 30 minute walk that took 1 hour and 20 minutes because I stopped to talk to 3 different neighbors.

I went to my chiropractor earlier today.

I went to my chiropractor earlier today.

I go to the chiropractor 2-3 times per month.
The positions he puts me in make us both laugh.

I had a strong craving for Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies and some good hot chocolate.

So that's what I'm doing. I had to settle for Pepperidge Farm Mint Milano cookies though.

I have just finished washing dishes. Now I'm trying to figure out this mysterious, confusing soap opera called JUB.

tmw the gf of a dude who blocked you a while back for creeping up on him uploads a half naked pic of him (fully naked would be much better, but you know, FB rules and shit)

So, I'm doing p good. :]

Taking a break from power-washing the driveway. Done about 1/3 of it. It's a big driveway.

Trying to ignore a floater in my left eye until I can get to my Opthalmologist. It's like having a wasp fly by every now and then.

Yes, I am supposed to try to reverse it. It isn't going to be easy.

Actually, it might be easier than you think. If you are saying you caught the fact you JUST went over the line, it may very well be easier to reverse.

In my case, about 6 months before I went over the line, I was warned that medication was in my future if I did not lose some weight. I lost a fairly quick 15 pounds (the first few always go so fast) in about 3 months, but then the holidays came around (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas) and I gained it all back plus a few more by April.

I was put on meds and I got serious about losing weight. I first cut out added sugars and sweets and a month or 2 later I started cutting down on the other good stuff (carbs). At the end of 3 months I had come down just BELOW that diabetes "cut off" figure. I still stayed on the meds for a full year while I continued to lose weight. At the 6 month mark i was down into the high-normal range. I learned that the average person doesn't discover they have diabetes until they have had it for 7 years. By then damage has been done to the organs that can not be repaired and therefore the dieting and meds can not reverse the diabetes (only slow it down).

Good luck!!!

Had a small one in my left eye a few years back that resolved itself. Freaked me out one morning while doing my business looking beige tile. I thought it was a bug at first and tried to swat it. :)

Nice job PC. Still cant be easy for some people.

Planning my day for tomorrow. Go grocery shopping, pick up medication to stop smoking and getting blood tests that my doctor ordered. Not sure what order that they will be in.

Just grumbling and complaining. So far my morning isn't going right. Checked my lottery tickets this morning and they weren't what I thought I was buying yesterday. I fill out lottery cards and sometimes they work and sometimes they misread and if I explain to the clerk what I want, half of the time they don't understand. Also I went to Burger King to buy breakfast and they had neglected to open their dining room this morning. They saw me trying to open the door and did come to open up for me. I know, life could be a lot worse.

Today is our second primary election this year. You have to declare Democrat or Republican and receive the appropriate ballot. I looked up a sample ballot and there are no candidates or issues for the government this election, only for my own political party for the state central committee of the party. I don't know any of the people on the ballot, so I guess that I won't vote in this primary election.

Just returned home from 3 day road trip to Denver Colorado area. I'm in the process on unpacking the luggage and stuff I took. No shopping on this trip.

Suffering a mild to moderate headache since Thursday.

It’s more of a sinus headache. Behind my eyes and checks

We've entered the monsoon here. High humidity and almost daily showers.

I spent the morning raking the areas of the front lawn I tilled up yesterday morning. Then I scattered lawn food in the broken ground and then grass seed. After letting the sprinkler run for an hour over part of it, I finally took a spray nozzle and heavily soaked the areas, as the grass seed packages recommended.

It was so muggy, I could hardly see when raking because the sweat poured off my head into my eyes.

Three hours later, the bottom fell out and helped set it all in even more. The yard has about a 10 to 15 degree slope, but the soil is so heavy, it didn't move.

Pouring more concrete next weekend.
