  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What are you doing right now?

Watching The walking dead series
Hoping Netflix will have the final Season 11 of The Walking Dead maybe in the next month or two.

At the moment I'm praying for rain. Rain = less trick or treaters. Less trick or treaters = more candy left over.

The Sleepwalking Dead...

You get tired when basically the same stuff happens season after season after season...

Soup people unite.

I did Tuscan bean soup in the slow cooker and ended up adding chicken breast. Was good. And have a lot frozen.

And I did homemade chicken rice soup. I used leeks RB instead of regular onions. A nice sweetness to it.

I'm a big fan of a homemade spicey chicken sausage gumbo. So I might do that this weekend.

Still was a dynamite show IMHO

But the last few seasons are not as good as the beginning and middle. I enjoy the amount of work it involves to make that show as well as the filming locations.

They won from the zombies and everyone lived happily ever after? Didn't think so.

I'd be happy to send you our torrential rain!
The rain is holding off till late. We just had about 40 or so trick or treaters almost all at once. There was a very tall Godzilla that was pretty cool.

Making a pot of corn chowder for a late dinner. (Fitting that JUB's chowderhead will have chowder!)

I am up a whole hour earlier because of the time change.

And somewhere out there, someone has a fan or piece of equipment that is making a constant whining noise.

After washing up all the dishes after a dinner party last night and doing the laundry associated with it, I am trying to be as still as possible while our new cat 'Ali' is having her first snooze day on the back of a chair in the living room. It has been a bit of a process to have her feel comfortable with us around her and almost all noises here are new to her. So in a little while I will carry on doing stuff when it is time for their afternoon tea.

Hating Alabama anew. Read over the sample ballot for the election. The vast majority of offices have no Democratic candidates, only GOP or Libertarians. That was rarely the case in my home state of Arkansas, or other states where I have lived. Maybe it is today.

And there are 11 amendments proposed to the Alabama State Constitution of 1901. Not a single one has a simple summary name of the amendment, as required in my home state of Arkansas for any referendum. The voter must not only be very literate, but able to wade through garbage prefaces that obscure the content of each initiative, making it very difficult to parse out the actual intent. Take it from a former high school English teacher, the average reader today cannot parse out the subject and predicate of a simple sentence, much less a paragraph of gobbledy gook.

Anything but honest government.

Bring on the zombie apocalypse. I want to watch.

It's 4am here in NJ and Im percolating a new coffee someone gave me called Peets. See if it's any good or not.

Good Morning Jubbers everywhere :)
