  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Attention What are you having for dinner?

Had roasted a chicken earlier and picked up fresh rolls and lettuce and some decent tomatoes for sandwiches.

Even though I shouldn't I'm thinking of ice cream.

I just had my first yellow summer squash of the season (99 cents a pound!) and I'm feeling happy and satisfied.

Chop it up, put it in a bowl with a chopped onion, microwave it until it's nice and soft, season with salt, pepper, and cheddar.
MMMmmmm.

I adore yellow squash, sauteed, fried, in dressing, or a casserole. Such a delicate flavor. And onions complement it to a tee.

I had ham salad sandwiches for dinner. Added mustard to the bread and some dill pickle slices to amp it up a bit. Was delightful and easy. That carver ham really was a bargain considering all the meals I've gotten from it, and not the watered down vegetable broth taste of so much deli ham.

Yes, indeed!

Now I just need a better way to wash the cheese residue out of the bowl ...

Grilling some salmon fillets later and will make some rice and a salad. Not crazy about salmon but I hear it's good for ya. :) Extra lemon wedges please!
