Made 3 scrambled eggs with some Tony Chacheres no salt seasoning. Had a leftover Harry and David's nice sweet large pear for dessert.

Eggs were satisfying.

There are times when plain old scrambled eggs are the best dinner around.

I'm going to bake, er, roast, in the oven a couple of pork loins. The little ones come two to a package, total 2.5 pounds. For now they are on the counter in plastic wrap and getting happy. Seasoned with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, some kind of pepper mix, some last bit of an unknown BBQ sprinkle, and then some actual Atkins BBQ rub seasoning. Here's where having a box of gloves like they use at the deli is handy. Roll them over and repeat. Rub the stuff in. Put the packaging and glove in a grocery bag and stuff it in the freezer until trash day.
I'm going to open a couple of cans of whole potatoes. Cut in half or so. With a bit of bacon grease in the pan. The pork goes on top of the potatoes.... an edible roasting rack.
Might get four meals of the pork.

Last week made a BIG pot of spaghetti that covered me from Christmas to New Years -

For New Years eve got Chinese carry out but ordered enough for New Years Eve and New Years day.

Tomorrow - time to go shopping again!

Uh. I had a thought. Some may wonder "Why does this dude put stuff in the freezer until trash day?"

Ok. The big green roll around trash cans you see now a days? I can get trash service.... I have to haul the can a mile to and from the road.... and last I looked it was $60 a month plus tax for a weekly pickup.

We almost fill a kitchen trash bag in two weeks. I crush cans or fill them with Keurig cups. Cardboard and mail is another stream where I cut the boxes down and fill a 30 pack beer carton about once a month. Beer cans get crushed and saved to take a pick-up full to the recycle place. I've always done this, since college and my first apartment at least, don't know why.

So we check on a friend's house while he's out of town and drop off a bag of trash every couple of weeks when we collect his mail.

I'd just as soon have a burn barrel.

Because we have been given so many by our friends.

And need a change from Turkey and Roast Beef leftovers.

A lovely chocolaty meal replacement shake. I have approximately 12 to 15 more pounds to go.

Last night I had pretzels.

But my doctor has said I should watch what I eat so I had the mini twists rather than the full size.

I have a little bit of this spicy garlicky tomato sauce leftover that was so good.

I'm thinking some kind of veggie omelette with sauce on top maybe a small amount of cheese and I'll forfeit any bread.
