Tonight is fresh steamed kale with Kielbassa sausage.

The kale wintered through but needs to be replaced because it is running to seed and I need to plant tomatoes in that row this year.

Last night, I made vegetable soup. I wonder if it will be the last round of vegetable soup I make until fall sometime. Frankly, I wasn't too enthusiasitc, although it was a cool enough day. The selling point was simply that I had acquired a carton of stock I was curious to try a few weeks ago.

I was going to make a shrimp power bowl for dinner but grabbed a head of cabbage instead of lettuce I guess I’m going to sauté some cabbage instead. I got a brown rice, red rice and quinoa mix and also an avocado that should go good with cabbage.

Totally. And a bag gor frozen to use in dishes until this year's kale is ready.

It was so fucking good...smoky and full of flavour, sauteed in roasted garlic and leeks at the finish.

I had some for breakfast.

Another round of curried chickpeas. A salad with some Thousand Island dressing. I think I got cheated on the dressing--I counted, and found only 999 islands in it. Then I had some spicy peanuts I wanted to try.

I was thinking of tacos, too, but I also forgot to buy shells. Plus I forgot to buy the filling. But I'm sure they'll still be delicious.

Cedar plank grilled trout fillet with assorted grilled vegetables. Delightful and healthy.

Too hot to cook. I’m just going to have some greek yogurt with some frozen strawberries and bananas mixed in.
