Picked up Uncharted 2 on impulse today. Checked out the reviews after I got home and was happy to see that it is very highly rated (even though that doesn't always mean so much). I'm looking forward to starting it up in just a bit.
Sweet. I'm playing on the same format. Did you do the multi-player at all? I read that they just released DLC for it.
I just finished my first playthrough of Heavy Rain, and it will definitely get multiple playthroughs from me. There are certain decisions that I wanna make differently just to see how things play out.
This game is really hard to put down. You're put into really INTENSE situations, and you start to panic with the controls kinda like how you would react in real life. And I did NOT see the identity of the killer coming...it was a total shock! But I don't wanna spoil anything. I can't get over how awesome this game is. It's a definite must for any PS3 owner (plus male nudity doesn't hurt -- although it's not full frontal like GTA)!
Playing some DLC Right now.
Just beat Desperate Escape, which was a lot of fun.
And doable with the AI.
Obtaining the achievements will require a smart person though.
(finished Lost in the Nightmares last week. I am of the opinion that can only be done with another player)
I have a feeling my copy will be delayed. I pre-ordered from bestbuy, got 5 bucks off which was nice, because that deal wasn't on when I originally pre-ordered...
Hopefully I get it on the 9th but I doubt it.
Well I liked Lost in the Nightmares' throwback to the original (if you investigate the door enough, you get old school gameplay.)
I would of liked more, like perhaps a "what happened after Wesker and Jill fell..." cutscene.
Personally I found Desperate Escape very riviting... I liked that, I also think I liked it more because I coudl actually play it with the aid of the AI, where it seemed like Lost In the Nightmare's AI was actually retarded...
Hopefully my DLC tides me over until my games arrive.
Apparently FFXIII is going to take you no less than 60 hours to beat.
And thenI got Pokemon on the way, and Splinter Cell in April.
Am about 4 hours into FFXIII and definitely loving it so far.
Some of my thoughts though...
To me it seemed that the opening sequence was trying to re-create the same kind of atmosphere as VII, but I didn't really find it as engaging.
The story seems very interesting, but I don't think I really like how you have to read up on most of it yourself via the datalog, instead of being told through dialogue and cutscenes.
Really loving the battle system, it's all very fluid. My only problem at the moment is learning to keep track of everything at once
I like the crystal system for increasing your abilities (since I was a big fan of the sphere grid), but I seem to be maxing out the nodes quite quickly.
So far, it hasn't disappointed me though![]()
