What are your earliest television memories

I remember my whole family in front of the TV on Saturday night. All in the Family, The Jeffersons, The Bob Newhart Show, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, and The Carol Burnett Show. There will never be a lineup like that again!

Earliest I can think of was when I was home sick from 1st grade and Mom was watching TV and started crying. Yeah, Kennedy had been shot. Freaked me out.

Other than that, Ed Sullivan, Mutual of Omaha Wild Kingdom, Disney ... on Sunday nights after 60 Minutes. Lot's and lots of sitcoms. Tons of cartoons on Saturday morning. Captain Kangaroo. Kulka, Fran, and Ollie. Old Laurel and Hardy films.

All of the Creature of the Black Lagoon and Dracula and Frankenstein movies. Tons of Abbot and Costello.

And sneaking out of bed when StarTrek came on. There was a corner from the hallway to the livingroom where I could watch the show. Sometimes I managed to watch it all and go back to bed. Sometimes I woke up in the hallway with a blanket over me. Mom was cool, never said a word.

Saturday nights in the 70's. All in the Family, The Jeffersons, Mary Tyler Moore Show, Bob Newhart Show, Carol Burnett Show. It doesn't get better than that.

Captain Kangaroo, Romper Room, and Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. These are my earliest memories of watching TV!

The main family TV was a Goldstar, It was huge and black :kevbo: then it got replaced for a Panasonic, 29', Stereo sound and the Goldstar was lifted up to my brothers room, one of my earlies memories is watching the mockumentary "Alien Abduction" and thinking "Wow they really exists!!" on the Hallmark channel :)

Good times, I really miss the old cable days and how modern TV suck right now.
