Apple and key lime. The latter I'm particularly loving b/c for the most part, you can only find them around this time of year.

Hey man.. key lime is easy to make.. hell my dad makes them all the time..
You can buy the keylime juice in most markets nowdays... And it's real key lime juice..
And you can make the crust using real graham crackers too.. you don't need to buy premade one.. they are easy and delicious.. Good luck.

Furr's Butter Chess Pie.

It took me a couple of months to master baking a butter chess pie that taste almost identical to furr's. Even though I know how to make it now I still buy them all the time.

Rolling the crust between two pieces of waxed paper works well. When rolled to your satisfaction, ditch the top sheet and ease the crust into the pan sliding it off the waxed paper. Elderberry is a great kind of pie, too...bit of lemon juice is a good addition.

I don't mean to brag, but my apple pie with sharp cheddar crust is the best.

I also make a mean rhubarb pie in spring, blueberry and cherry in summer and pumpkin pie in autumn. Pecan pie when ever....

I am with you, so make that 3. Blueberries and blackcurrents are my ick berries.

I am suprised there isn't more meat pie discussion! oh the joys.

One fantastic version is called the "pie floater" where you get a meat pie (usually beef) and its floating in a bowl of either mushy peas or split pea and ham soup. Delish!

Pie - I've yet to meet one I didn't like, savoury or sweet. I'd never say no to a good rich steak-and-mushroom pie, or a lovely apple pie with lashings of cream.
