I have GOT to get off JUB and go to sleep soon!! Have to spend my weekend in "The Kingdom" working those lovely 12hr. shifts!!

Kev, and his brother Michael, will be going to Chicago early tomorrow morning. Visiting their sister Kristie's for our nephew Kristian's first birthday!! Wish I could go along! Also ... Kristie is trying to set Michael up with her (male) hairdresser! I'm missing all the FUN!!!

However ... there is a slight chance I won't have to work Sunday! And, then, Kev, and I, might just get a chance to ... well ...

Saturday, my family is having a birthday dinner for my younger brother. In my family we all get several birthday celebrations: one with family, one with friends (and usually some family) and sometimes another party just for good measure. I'm not sure if I'm making the cake or not...

Well, I am in my 40's, so I'm financially and socially independent of my family (we're spread all across the US). And I live in an area that's very gay-friendly, and I have lots of open-minded friends. And I've been on JUB for 4 months, so I've become a lot more accepting of who I am.

So, in a way, it's just "informing" my family. What they say or do will impact me, but I've got so much backup support from friends that it just won't impact me all that much no matter what they do. Of course, I'd prefer that they be reasonable, but they are pretty damn conservative. I'll post something on the Coming Out board here when I'm done.

As for me, I've got a shit head cold so am lying low. About to go and do some housework, collapse on the couch to watch the footy, out for dinner tonight with a very special man and tomorrow, JUB and You Tube and DVD's.
