  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What car would you want to live with?

I don't drive and I know nothing about cars. They all look much the same to me except for the colours.

Probably a medium sized sedan, perhaps a Chevy Malibu or even a Chevy Impala or another make but similar. I don't really know what I want at this time.

Last time I bought a car I had decided that every family needed a minivan and although I didn't want to be the family member with one, no one else had one so I bought a Toyota Sienna minivan. It was good because we got some good use out of it and I liked riding high so I could see better, but some things have changed and I don't think that I need it anymore.

I hate cars, hahah. Send me an Uber.

spoken like a die hard New Yorker:lol:

I have a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek---love the car but got it because of the all wheel drive, winters suck and it doesn't fail me.
But test drove and wanted a BMW---loved it but I'm practical and didn't think it would be great in snow etc.

I had a Toyota Supra Aerotop - it was my dream car - ofcourse I crashed it LOL

I like my BMW X3. It handles the snow just fine. Next one might be an Audi Q3 though. I miss my A6.

I had an X3. It was OK in the snow, but have had much better. Fun handling and incredible seats, but build quality sucked and it was a maintenance pain in the ass. And not roomy for its size.

Would love a Jaguar. I’ve always enjoyed classic Indian vehicles.

One of these whatever they're called.

Weren't those called "Woody's"?

So after I just spent 10 minutes hunting down the photo, I can’t post it using my cell phone :(

Anyways a white 2003 GMC Yukon XL 2500HD 4WD with tan leather, Duramax diesel swap, Quadrasteer (you can steer all 4 wheels), Sierra HD front clip swap, and of course it’s gotta have my barn doors! 😍

I love the looks of them, and the idea of one, but I know a guy who had one and to be hinest they rode terrible, always needed work, you got soaked when it rained out and had to be your own mechanic because no one else could fix the thing. On the other hand he sold it for like $15k more than he bought it new for. And that was because it was totally stripped apart, he could have doubled that if he got it back to running.

Same thing with the G Wagon. Love the looks and sitting high like that, but could never live with it.

I have no doubt they ride rough. That wouldn't bother me, nor would the getting wet. I work in the swampy woods of the southeastern coastal plain and run a 1st generation Toyota Tacoma 4x4 in the woods. Most people today think its rough ride terribly rough and it might the suspension is rigid. Doesn't (ride) bother me its nimble and gets through the narrow trails I work off of. It isn't much different ride than the old rebuilt Jeep CJ-5 and Toyota FJ-40 hardtops in ride and I miss those. A little while ago I had a young guy working on a restoration project with me in southern Georgia. He rode to the site with me in the 97 toyota and told me if I got hurt or something and couldn't drive we were in trouble because he hardly havd ever seen a manual transmission & had no idea what a manual transfer case on a AWD. Haha! .... AWD,

I figured the Defender 90 would be expensive nightmare for parts on top of the vehicle cost. But you have to love a awesome looking off road truck with a snorkel. Actually Land Rover currently offers a retro Defender 90 in their new vehicle lineup but I think they are only building a small number so most likely geared to the very well off as a specialty vehicle

My 5er gettting some much needed special attention the other day. I’ve had four of these and they fit us perfectly. Comfortable beyond belief and luxurious too. I decided to keep this one because it’s so nice. But, I will admit that it was hard to walk away from the 2018 models in the show room. They are quite nice..

I wouldn’t mind and am thinking of getting a hobby car, something to wax and drive on the weekends and such. After we move I’m going to do something...

I drive a 2016 BMW 3-series but i've always fantasized about living in an RV or travel trailer. I have an obsession with tiny homes.
