  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What did you have for dinner?

Many hours ago, because I eat my big meal around noon.

I cooked about 4 cups of noodle soup. [NOTE: THIS IS ACTUALLY PURPOSELY COOKED FOR TWO MEALS...I ATE ONE-HALF OF IT TODAY AND PUT THE OTHER HALF IN THE FRIDGE.] Kluski-style noodles, into which I threw about one cup of cooked turkey which I roasted on Monday. Added to it copious amounts of black pepper, some garlic, some arame seaweed, three chopped celery stalks, and additionally spiced with oregano, cilantro and curry. YUM!!!!

Additionally, a lettuce mix salad with raspberry vinegarette dressing (good organic stuff, no high-fructose corn syrup), a little bit of milled flaxseeds, little bits of plain granola and a multigrain cereal, and seasoned with cinnamon ( !) and oregano.

A delicious lemon shrimp scampi over whole wheat pasta with whole wheat bread dipped in some olive oil at Vapiano's. The boy took me out tonight. Of course the health lasted only for a short time because he then bought me a dip of chocolate and a dip of strawberry ice cream for dessert!

Mmmmmm....and now for more dessert!

Breakfast for supper: eggs over easy, bacon (but NOT Piggy), homefries, toast, and a glass of apple juice

Up here we call our evening meal 'supper" and have "dinner" on Sundays around 1 PM

I eated the purple berries.

They taste like BURNING!

Last night we went to Bugaboo Creek - we're on their e-mailing list, got coupons for 10oz prime rib, w/ broccoli, salad, and another side, dessert for $11.99.

We also had a coupon for a free appetizer that they allowed us to use - 8 grilled cajun shrimp w/ sauce and coleslaw, Toasted Head Cabernet Sauvignon for drinks, and their mini-desserts to finish off the meal -- I had Caesar Salad and Smashed potatoes, my wife had house salad w/ balsamic vinaigrette, baked (but not stuffed) potato. I had mini-cheese cake w/ straw and blue-berries, she had mini chocolate caramel cake. A nice way to celebrate our anniversary.

Tonight, we were running, brought pizza and wings home for everyone.

Grilled, marinated Flank Steak, cut on the bias for Delmonico steak. Green Beans, Corn, Basmati Rice.

Boy, I can tell I'm getting tired - I meant cut on the bias for London Broil, not Delmonico!

Now, THAT really would have bee a trick!

Yesterday evening I made tacos, but I was still hungry. A few hours later I went online to order takeout from my favorite local Mexican place, only to find that they don't deliver any more! So I got second-rate Mexican take-out. A quesadilla, a chalupa, and a tostada. Very disappointing. And the fried ice cream had FAKE whipped cream on top. NOT acceptable.
