What did you have for dinner?

An appetizer (mashed potatoes stuffed with meat and vegetables) and a seafood casserole (shrimp, scallops, clams, squid in a rich yellow sauce) at the Peruvian Family Restaurant in Passaic, New Jersey.

Orzo with grilled and marinated sweet bell peppers and Souvlaki

Corny,
You do have the most colorful dishes and dinners.

Back from our mini-trip vacation - baked chicken and mashed potatoes.

Have a wedding this afternoon, evening. We'll see - have no idea what's on offer.

I made a lasagna from scratch today, I will bake it for supper.

Just got back from the wedding/reception. Had a great time. The Bride and Groom looked like they were truly made for one another.

Food was very good - buffet -
Appetizers - fresh veggies w/ dip - the broccoli was blanched, slightly, which my wife liked better than raw broccoli, baby corn, zucchini strips, carrots, celery, carrots.
Stuffed Mushroom caps - 3 or 4 different stuffings, based on the color of the stuffings on the tray.
Mini-meatballs w// marinara sauce

Fresh Steamed veggies - spear-sliced zucchini, green beans, carrots and such.
Ziti w/ sauce and cheese
Chicken French - Very good - tender, not too lemony
Baked potato
Steamship round cooked to perfection.

Lakeshore Country Club - Jeff Sluman is a co-owner, for the Golfing afficionado's in the club.

I am baking a potato and a crusted pork chop, I picked some fresh beets and cooking them also

Just got back from the 2nd wedding/reception in two weeks. Had a great time.

Food was similar to the last wedding, above - good buffet, but not as good as last, although The bride and groom strived to have a very nice offering.

Appetizers - fresh veggies w/ dip, meatballs, deep fried ravioli.
Tossed salad came w/ vinaigrette on the salads, put out during ceremony.
lettuce mix w/ a touch of cabbage and carrot, one grape tomato.
Veggies were typical assorted overcooked carrots, broccoli, cauliflower mix
Instead of ziti, they offered Bowtie pasta and tortellini with your choice of red sauce or a slightly red looked like chees sauce. Was good, but pasta was overcooked instead of al dente.
Chicken French - good - tender, not too lemony
Sliced skin-on roasted 'home fried potatoes
Steamship round cooked decently.

Dessert - they had a four layer cake with three different cakes - white, chocolate and carrot, plus assorted Italian cookies.
Open Bar early, Coffee Bar later.

The kids did their best to put on a memorable event. Unfortunately, the golf course they selected was no up to the standards of the one we went to two weeks ago.

Pork Chops ( well, they started out as pork chops - were so tender by the time they were done they broke apart into pieces in the pan, sauteed, then simmered in stewed tomatoes, peppers and onions, with Garlic, Black Pepper, Basil, just a touch of salt.

Served over a baked potato.

last night 9/13
i had french baqutte bread saute'd with roma tomatoes & fresh mozzerella
{might be a lil misspelling} , but i dont give a fuck!

I made a home-made shepperd's pie and will cook it for dinner this evening

Last night was a squash soup, Atlantic Salmon over rice with mixed vegetables and some kind of apple tart with a smidge of ice cream; tonight is filet mignon with baby potatoes, asparagus (sorry to the hubby tomorrow!) and cherry something or other! lol! I'm at a conference and meals are good!
