  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What did you have for dinner?

Can I come, too? I can cook, too!
(When I'm home early enough to!)

Homemade Chicken veggie soup that I made earlier in the week - I made a 12Qt pot - it's about all gone.

Love you homepage, Skooter, btw.

depressing Panda Express, cuz my dining halls were closed when I got out of my 6-9 pm class

:[

It's morning now but I know that I will have some sort of fish tonight

Tofu, mixed vegetables, and brown rice with brown sauce

^did you have potato chips with that?

I had rice with my meal

Our son took the girls for the weekend, so we stopped at a new to us place - our son has gone and recommended.

It's a "pizza plus . . ." restaurant.

I had a late lunch, so I opted for just 1st plate items.

Bowl of Lobster Bisque - no hunks of lobster, but very tasty.
Greens & Beans "Stew" - also tasty.

Wife had Sweet Potato Gnocchi w/ nuts, allegedly in a tomato alfredo sauce - whatever the sauce was, it was reduces till it was "meaty" for a meatless sauce.

Then a large salad - field greens, chicken, pecans with a Catalina French dressing.

Since I was done earlier, she felt like she was eating alone, so I ordered a crab cake to split. Wasn't just crab meat - had a nice blend of herbs, spices - very good, with an oriental sauce that was sweet but had heat. I liked a lot. It was actually better than the purely lump crab cakes I've had in Baltimore/DC area.

Plus, it had a small salad/garnish of field greens w/ mandarin oranges, etc.

We topped it with a nice Argentinian Red.

We had a coupon my wife had purchased on line - $25 cert for about $4, so we got all for under $50, including 18% included gratuity.

saute onion/peppers/mushrooms, veggie pizza, spaghetti with meat sauce, weird brown rice thing.

;]

I just got back from the market and bought a nice piece of Fresh Tuna Steak which I will grill for dinner tonight.

Southern-fried chicken

and no, not the KFC crap!
