  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What did you have for dinner?

Last Night's dinner wound up being Wendy's New Bacon Cheeseburger and a Frosty.

I'm having my weekly beer-battered Haddock w/Clam Chowder and Tossed Salad as we speak. Lunch, but is my main meal today -

Still full from lunch - my Haddock was very generously sized - good thing, since the price has gone up a buck in a month.

Poached haddock in cheese sauce, mashed pots and broccoli. Nice!

Today was a cornucopia of healthy eating - for the most part.

Left the house by 7:15, dropped one car off for service, ran thru Mickey D's to get a quick bite - we were afraid of sugar lows by the time we would get to our real breakfast. so, split a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Biscuit & Hash Brown breakfast w/ my wife.

REAL breakfast at my son's was belgian waffles w/ added oats, flaxseed, Brown Sugar Cured Ham, 60% real maple syrup.

After our trip through the Wildlife Refuge, cut up Watermelon, Strawberries, Pineapple for a fruit Salad.

Dinner was a Broiled, Herbed, Farm-Raised Steelhead Trout, Red & White Quinoa, Brocolli Cuts.

Then back up to pick the girls up from their Anime/Geek Convention - they spent all their money earlier, hadn't had dinner so took them out, had Warmed Cherry Pie a la Mode.

Today's "Gourmet" comestibles, so far:
Cheerios in Skim Milk for breakfast
Black Coffee

Making Sloppy Joes now -
3 decent sized onions, sauteed, 2# ground beef, some granulated garlic, fresh ground black pepper, mustard powder,
a can of manwich, and some medium chunky Salsa from BJ's refrigerator section.

Simmering it now to reduce the liquids.

The hamburg was thawed, no one else was around to cook something, I decided to go easy. I think the meat was earmarked for a shepherd's pie.

Fighting sinus infections - people wanted RED MEAT.
Thursday & Friday had Rib-eyes, potatoes, veggies.
Saturday - Take me out to the Ball Park - I think I listed in not Banned, lol.
Prime Rib Sandwich, Hot dogs, home and french fries, youngest had a chicken and cheese crepe - yes, crepes at the ball park!
Beer and pop.

Tonight - Chinese - I had Green Pepper Beef, Onions. Egg Roll, Fried Rice.

yellow coconut curry w/ chickpeas, potato, red peppers, tomato and chicken thigh over basmati rice.

and tonight will be breaded turkey cutlets w/ cranberry orange sauce, garlic mashed potatoes and simple steamed veg.. kind of a thanksgiving in May.

Aside from the Garlic in the mashed - I love garlic, just not a fan of it in mashed for some reason - sounds like a wonderfully tasty and healthy menu.

I had some BBQ Pork Spare Ribs and leftover ribeye - been a RED Meat protein week.

Have to figure out tonight - the kids will have eaten before I get home, the wife has bingo w/ her recently returned from down South Sister.

After Italiano burger and Cream of vegetable soup for late lunch, probably won't be a lot.

Had shopping to do at grocery store, so I ran thru Micky d's for Big Mac add tomato.

Macaroni in a creamy cheese sauce w/ sundried tomatoes, broccoli, cut up chicken breast. Topped w/ shredded Romane.
(Started w/ a Macaroni Grill boxed pasta and enhanced)
