  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What did you have for dinner?

Drove through Arby's and tried their new Turkey sandwich. A few hours later I just had a PB&J.

Was a long day and running night.

Whenever a friend is going on vacation I demand presents up front.

This is how today I got a jar of Porter and Courgette Chutney from Glasgow.

I made a toasted cheese sandwich with it.

(Which almost relieves my disappointment that he wasn't able to secure a haggis pakora for himself.)

Made a home made Chicken Pot Pie..... nummy... and I am making comfort food on a Friday night  I am officially old.

Looks very nicely done, JayHawk.

After the hectic week, we had

Stouffer's
Farmstyle and Vegetarian/Cheese Lasagnas.

Shhhhhhhhh! I told you not to reveal my secret creamy texture... it is the finishing touch... I am not the only one though... on allrecipes it said add a quarter cup of cream..... well all I can say is I tried.... I tried

I bet that hint of sourdough in the cream makes it jazzed up just right. (or is that jizzed up . . .)

I wanna taste it Jay...

So provocative, Jason, but of course you can taste anything I produce.

Those sound yummy. I am going to have to stock up on a variety of sausages available next time I am in Cincinnati. the rest of the country just doesn't have that much variety. Isn't it interesting that "leftover cuts" type dogs were originally more but now wholesome ingredients cost more?

Jay,
They are a Knockwurst style sausage/Hot Dog.

Interestingly, a few years back I flew to Atlanta for a Software User's Group meeting.

One of the offerings was Knockwurst and Kraut. I laughed.

People who move out of the area (e.g. "Snowbirds" in Florida) have them shipped to them.

Well i just looked up like four specialty places that offer 'world renown' sausages... but they all close early on Saturday so I have several new lunch spots to try out during the week.
