It seems like straight & gay people are shaving their underarms a lot more than before. In the '80s, hair was so "in", it seemed. But now, every guy is shaving some part of their body lmao!

What do you think about shaving the pits? I personally hate any kind of body hair, to an extent...

DON'T SHAVE THEM. it's soooo gross. dudes should be natural.

It's gross to be shaved? I just think underarm hair serves no purpose. It creates sweat, creates smell, & the hairs get all clammy & curly when they get wet.

eeewwww...that's really overdoing it.

Shaving your back and (sometimes) chest, that i can understand. But guys who shave their legs, underarms, etc. that's just too much.

^ On some guys, it's sexy. But on other guys, it looks like it doesn't belong there. Like a giant bushy surprise underneath a sculpted arm.

I shaved my pits once. Once all the hair is gone and when you sweat, the sweat has nowhere to go so it just drizzles all over you and it honestly just feels really weird without hair being here.

It's better to trim.

I see it two ways. On men who shave their stomaches, pubic hair, chest hair, and ass hair should not have armpit hair - if you're going to shave everything, then don't leave out to smelliest and thickest hair on your body (other than your head). Other guys work the semi-hairy look well, like...Ryan Reynolds or Paul Walker - and they should have armpit hair.

I don't understand why some guys feel that armpit hair is like, the one thing that makes you manly, yet you can shave your bush and stomach and wax your eyebrows and sculpt your facial hair, and yada, yada, yada.

I'd rather it drizzle over me than create a massive stink bomb.

Some people work the pit hair look so well, & some people can do w/o it!

I hate guys shaving any part of their body.... but I've come to realize that the current trend is that some guys like to shave their assholes and trim their pubes....

Fine that is I guess... but shaved arm pits? Unless you are a professional swmimmer (like Michael Phelps) then don't do it... it's not sexy... not hot... and not cool....

Actually, the hair is there to reduce friction. The smell comes from glands and sweat. You can't shave those off.

WTF are they teaching kids these days

Actually the hair can cause a stronger smell because of cold sweat sticking to it, and bacteria having an easy time to build up. But it's also there for that purpose, you rather want the bacteria there than directly on your skin - where they build up, too - if you don't wash. So shaving the hair is a moot point - among the other reasons you and earlier posters mentioned :)

Trimming is cool. I don't like bare.

The hairs are like little wicks and draw moisture umm sweat away from the glands.

Shaved armpits are lovely... on a WOMAN. On a man I think they are vile. A bit of trimming and clipping: fine. But shaving them is only excusable when you're an Olympic swimming champion.

Either or. I think the armpit is probably the last thing I look at on a guy.

They look unnatural to me so I don't like them. I dunno what kind of guy is so worried about the smell that he'd shave them off, all you have to do is wear some deodorant and you're good.

Back when dinosaurs walked the earth....or at least 10 yrs ago. The job I had at the time( i didn't wear alot of clothes)required me to trim alot. Since I am a hairy man naturally, it was a pain in the armpit. Now i don't have to and am so much happier. I like men who look like men and not 16 yr old boys.

lol....i shave mine because i feel cleaner. I also don't like the way the deodorant sticks to hair so now I don't have to look at that. it's not that I sweat a lot but I just feel cleaner. and i enjoy feeling clean. the cleaner the better. ;)

i really don't care what other people think about me for doing it either. i don't do it to be sexy or unmanly or what ever silly thing you guys can come up with.

in reality, shaving arm pits is no more unnatural than getting a haircut, shaving my face or brushing my teeth. if you have a hair fetish....that is your business....i don't

Metta, when i lived in tropical climes. I was told by someone that if I clipped my body hair it would help to keep me cooler in the humidity, and by god they was right! I would never believed unless I had tried it. Now that I don't have to I am much happier...to each his own. Some like to shave, some don't. I think we all have to do what works for each of us
