Previous weekend my sexbuddy and i decided to go to a gaybar. We both have not been in one in years. We thought we should give it a try, cuz it we could have missed out much fun. It could even be better than the straight bars we normally go to. Who knows? We didn’t know, but we want to find out. We went early. We would have enough time to spend in straight bar, if it turns out to be a disaster.

From the moment we walked into the gaybar, people kept on starring at us. We didn’t know why, but they did. It felt a bit strange, but i didn’t care too much about it. I got us some drinks and the bartender said: can i ask you something... you aren’t gay are you? I started to laugh because i think it was a irrelevant question and i said: No dude, i’m not gay. Maybe most thought we were two straight guys in a wrong place.

When it started to get crowded and the people got drunk, things were getting loose! We met two fun chatty gay guys who stood with us and warned us for some horny guys. It was fun, cuz it was diffirent, but i don’t think i would go to a gaybar soon tho. We met some cool guys who just like to party, but it wasn’t my music and it wasn’t my vibe. People were more hornier and touchy in there. It was more a place to hook up with each other than to chill with friends. I noticed continously flirting between sex seeking guys and several make outs ending up in going home together.

What do you think of gaybars? Do you go to a gaybar on a regular basis?

gay bars are pretty lame. the few times i went i always got the "whats a straight boy doing here?", yeah every one does pretty much check you out. but wont start a conversation with you. but grab your ass when they walk by.

Never been and have no desire to visit one. I don't have a problem with gay blokes got some close friends who are gay but have never really found myself attracted to 'out' gay males which kind of contributes to my undesire to spend the night in a gay bar.

The music sucks at gay bars. The continuous thump thump thump thump so the boys with no rhythm dont get off beat just gives me a headache. Other than that I dont mind them so much. They are so much different than everyday life that it's like stepping into a fantasy world.
 
I have never been to a gay bar and I thought it was a bad thing, but now with what i'm hearing about the "meat market" thing, maybe its a good thing.
 
I used to go to gay bars but over time got to the point where I couldn't care less. The biggest thing that killed it for me was when they allowed women then straights followed in droves. I don't have a problem with women but if i'm going to a "GAY BAR" it is so I can enjoy my gayness with other guys.

Once the women and straights got in that was when all the fights and arguments really started. It also changed the atmosphere of the place completely. That was when I stopped going.
 
I think that gay bars are OK when you go with a couple of friends. It has been my experience when I go alone it seems I'm the target for a tryst with some stranger. And that is not my thing. Gay bars would be better if they had more of a variety of music ( live or "canned" besides house, trance, and DISCO )and guys just out looking to get laid. It is rare that you meet someone that you want to date......even in a straight bar.
 
Why is it that no matter what the subject on here, everything gets lumped together and categorized as all the same. I have been to many gay bars. Some were good some sucked. But, they were all different.
