well hey, facebook and so many other sites "data farm"...
But they don’t have a HIPPA release on file from you to obtain and share your medical records.

Personally, I've always assumed that everyone I've been with has had or has one or more of the 'Big 4' (HIV/AIDS, Gonorrhea, Chlamydia & Syphilis) and have taken the appropriate precautions. Someone waving a text message in my face isn't going to change that - and as this company doesn't verify other diseases outside of those 4, I again question the point of providing such an inaccurate service.my real angle? i have nothing to do with the site, period. but i have shared a similar concern. you have sites we ALL know about that allow people to post their HIV results and it's not backed by ANY reputable source. Anyone who is hiv positive can simply select the "hiv negative" option and then go about their business. it's too faulty. i say, if a program like this isnt implemented, then we need to encourage these hookup sites to do away with providing an hiv status option, just completely omit it....it really is useless. too many guys have a false sense of security in that..and its baseless.
who runs a check?...sadly not enough...i've only had one person ask me for results...only one...i used to feel uncomfortable asking for results, but after that first person asked, it kinda woke me up. i usually asked someone the last time they got tested, but never for results...maybe it's about time we all do that. i mean, why not?
Well I must admit that I've been holding out making the comment about the site having no Privacy Policy statement, and that it's free of charge. Now, it could be that the successful business entrepeneur that runs it is using it as a 'tax break' - or he's recouping his running costs via an alternative means. I'm just a cynical old bastard.Bingo! That's my take on it.

Are you getting paid by the hour or the click?
In case anyone is wondering, a new type of maketing is what we are witnessing here. App creators/ site designers sign up these folks to troll forums and try to direct traffic to their bosses. The purpose is to make the app/site look appealing to would be advertisers.
What we have here is a human spambot.![]()

i'm not a bot.
This link is not about fighting a disease.
This is about exposing those that have it. There is a clear cut and very astute difference.
You want to fight it? Send money to researchers and wear a condom in the meantime, every time.
I may not think you're a bot but clearly I think you're an ass for all of this. Both of your faces are showing and they both make you look bad.
Where, oh where, did I say you were a bot? You're a real person promoting your website and hoping thousands of idiots will give you money for it. Well, this idiot won't be one of them.

I may not think you're a bot but clearly I think you're an ass for all of this. Both of your faces are showing and they both make you look bad. There is no good intention in something that amounts to exposing someone's personal and medical information for no good reason other than to have that info - and for the site to also have that info and spread it to whoever they choose. You can't possibly be so naive as not to see that - but sadly, based on the fact that you're still fighting in favor of it, perhaps you are.
Which makes you a dangerous thinker.
but what other options do we have to turn to?
well i guess people see it different ways. i don't see this as a way to help people bareback. i would STILL use protection and use this as a supplemental tool to help me know the people i have sex with are hiv negative. and to be honest, i'd rather know two people have been tested and share results before barebacking than for two people to bareback without having ANY information at all. Yes i know it's wrong to use this as a tool to bareback but you must agree it is the lesser of the two evils. people who bareback now usually have no documentation that someone has tested hiv negative. would you rather give them a tool to document it, or keep things they way they are now? i dont condone barebacking, period! but if it were to happen, id rather know the parties involved at least have seen some sort of documentation, preferably recent ones too...Saran Wrap would offer more protection than that website.
The concept is sound, but its execution is so flawed as to be useless. People have been ignoring the dangers of HIV for decades. Even the Popes have been ignoring it. There are legitimate websites with plenty of valuable information which is being ignored. There are condoms available everywhere, and if you can't afford them, there are places which will give them to you for free.
Even if you're not connected with this website, you're promoting something which actually puts people's lives on the line. You are giving them the go-ahead to put all of their faith on a few words in a text message and not to use proper protection.
You just refuse to see that. You're not preventing HIV. You're increasing the possibility of it by making people feel that they are safe.
and the site isnt promoting itself as an excuse to bareback. you should ALWAYS wear condoms.
That final statement alone makes the entire website redundant.
People who always use condoms and insist that their partner use them as well won't bother with the website. People who prefer bareback will. That website will make them think they are safe. That website does more to spread HIV than to prevent it.
But you won't see that. You're convinced that the website is actually serving some purpose. It isn't. . . at least not in a beneficial way.
But then, I'm just an 'idiot', right?
Have a nice day.
