He'd fit in nicely at Fratmen - you should look at his gallery - very nice.....Thanks jockboy for your words. Hey... you kinda look like you should be a Fratman in your avatar... we should talk....
mate, I have appreciated your efforts over the years. Keep it up!
I don't think it matters whether a member joined JUB five years ago, five months ago, or yesterday, but for some reason Left Coast Mikey seems to think it does!LeftCoastMikey said:don't let a couple of whiney relative newbees get your shorts in a twist.
Am I being unreasonable when I say that it's unfair to have one rule for some and another rule for others?PodPond said:Six months ago, I came across a site which I thought my fellow Jubbers would appreciate (it featured hot guys!) so I thought I'd let everyone know. I gave a link and sung the site's praises. OK, I was new and didn't know the rules and I posted the link twice (i.e. on two different forums.)
In a day or so, both threads were deleted and I received a PM from a Mod (admitedly a very polite and courteous one) reminding me of the Code of Conduct and the rule that says "Please do not engage in the spamming of commercial websites." I didn't get any points or anything, just what he called "a friendly heads up."
I start a thread (OK, two threads) to inform people of a site which I thought would have been of interest, only to have them deleted.
Soilwork spams JUB over and over and over and over, and that's OK!

i think it does matter how new the member is, but not in a derogatory way. it matters because they might not know that Jasun (soilwork) is part of company that affiliates itself with JUB. and the older members (like myself) will remember Jasun before he was working with Fratmen, and he is not just some spammer.I don't think it matters whether a member joined JUB five years ago, five months ago, or yesterday, but for some reason Left Coast Mikey seems to think it does!
OK, I know Soilwork has his fans and they have jumped to his defense. Fair enough. However, I'm sorry nobody (moderators included) addressed the issue I mentioned in my earlier post:
Am I being unreasonable when I say that it's unfair to have one rule for some and another rule for others?
I think I explained quite clearly why Jasun's presence and posts are acceptable, and therefore by default that would explain why your posts of the website weren't....However, I'm sorry nobody (moderators included) addressed the issue I mentioned in my earlier post:

This is true, if your dislike of Jasun and all things Fratmen is personal - as it is for a couple of other members - then fine, but if it stems from having your two threads removed, then you really should have said so earlier. We're always available via a PM, and we really aren't nasty people - honestly! With an average of 1000 people online 24hrs a day, and thousands of posts an hour, we don't have the time to analyse reasons behind behaviour - nor are we mindreaders (which is perhaps not a bad thing on this site!)they probably have no idea what the hell you are talking about.
I really don't think it's worthwhile going to all that trouble.Perhaps, a policy to rectify this could be to label all such posts with an "ad" icon (need to provide one). Also, if an "ad" posting is to be deleted, let the poster know the fee required to post ads here, and state the policy in the FAQs.
As far as the poll goes, Jasun if the carpet is supposed to match the drapes, shouldn't you shave your crotch?
*sigh* The issue at hand is that you don't like 'spamming' by Fratmen.Quasar, I have no idea what your last post has to do with the issue at hand.
I'll guarantee you that any "personal" issues we lowly members of JUB may have do not bias our thinking nearly as much as the cash biases yours.
