My "read" means my interpretation.

Of course the imam is going to be the first person a closeted gay guy tells the real reason why he hasn't gotten married.

How many men stay single til 39 years old because they can't find a woman who prays enough for them?? Puh-leeze!

who the fuck cares about his sexuality? that wasn't what was at fault. has anyone even talked about his beliefs on DADT or gays?

Did he kill those people because they were gay or thought they were gay or cared that they were gay? NO

So what the fuck does it have to do with anything.

This is about a man, no matter how single and alone he was, killing 13 soldiers and wounding 31 more because he was deranged and disillusioned. Not because he was fucking single and alone, and according to a party of 1, gay.

There is an article on Bloomberg news today that quotes people who knew him from his recent fellowship program. From their allegations, it sounds like he was a ticking bomb.


It does sound pretty tragic all around. Especially for all the victims and their families. But also for him, who it sounds like joined the military out of a sense of patriotism (doing his duty for his country, defending America), but then found himself being asked to participate in a war that he saw as a war against Muslims rather than against terrorists. Official US policy is not and has never been that we are at war against Islam or Muslims, but that doesn't mean individual members of the military and of the government aren't anti-Islamic and pursuing the war as a war against Muslims.

Just reading this thread it's clear that a lot of people have a hard time distinguishing between Muslim and terrorist.

See, this information is a lot more pertinent and useful to this thread than him being a single old man. THIS information opens up useful debate.

I have to agree, there does seem to be no line seperating what a muslim is and what a terrorist is. And this has a lot to do, in my belief, with the media. They too don't seem to try and establish a line between what a day to day muslim is and what a radical islamist terrorist. There needs to be more education, and there are groups out there who want to educate, yet they get no air time. And no one seems willing to listen even if they do.

A 34 year-old police office and mother of one is credited with bringing down Major Nidal Malik Hasan after he began firing on comrades at Ford Hood.

She was doing her usual job of directing traffic near the base, when she returned to the base and walked in on the rampage. She confronted Major Hassan directly and shot him four times, even after being hit by a bullet that passed through both her legs.

The more I read about this the more I believe this is just... someone... trying to drum up more support for the war.

It's too perfect. A Muslim Terrorist infiltrating the military... lone nut gunman... coming just before Obama makes the decision to pull out of Afghanistan and Iraq.

And it's starting to make me believe the 9/11 conspiracies too.
