What If Being Gay IS wrong and a sin?

Explain the hilighted phrase please.

Have you ever have to ask your parents permission to do things you wanted to do when you were young? Were you Obedient to your parents? if so, then it is the same principle with the Catholic Church. OBEDIENCE and HUMILITY.

You're not a child though, and the servile, slavish conditions that you've allowed to be imposed on you cannot be compared to asking yer ma' if you can stay up past your bedtime. It's the fact that you would allow any relationship you enter to be branded inferior, and not just that, believe it yourself that disgusts me. That is why you are spineless.

You needn't be obedient of anything but the law, and I don't even look at that as binding if it makes no sense to me.

The other two non-religious examples you use serve a practical purppose though, where-as slavish devotion to the RCC gives this insideous political organisation another chump to fleace, another mouthpiece for the proppogation and validation of thier biggoted, dangerous beliefs.

It's all mindset and headspace.

I'm not defending the NEED for, or WANT of religion in people's lives, I flushed relgion outta my life some time ago... however, there're enough people who've looked at the "rat race" for lack of a better term and told their bosses et al to fuck off and etc.

I'm trying to stay neutral in all of this. :)

We're all driven by what we're driven by for whatever reasons make sense to us.

Hopefully, the drive doesn't damage either us, or those around us... THAT'S when it's a good idea to do some serious rumination. Some people never get to that point and seem quite content to perpetuate theirs and others misery... often, that's where the fear and control comes in... even on a job.

Hmmm...fair point. I would still assert that the control that religion holds over people is far more damaging in general though.

The str8 community says we are all sluts and think only about sex... I look at the gay men I know personally and its somewhat true... Someone help me and give me a boost of confidence!

Every single straight male I know is a male slut and think only about sex. It's actually embarrassing. And you're welcome to believe they're sinners. But I think your sexual orientation has nothing to do with your sex drive (or how you respond to your sex drive). In other words, just because we're gay it doesn't mean we're immoral sluts.

1 pint = 2 cups = 16 floz which is the size of my tea mug. I have a few of these/day.

It's not a lot of tea at all. :)

And I WAS referring to beer.

I've always wanted to go to an English/Scottish/Irish/Welsh pub. Me Grandpa was born in Glasgow afterall. :)

Carefull what you wish for man :P Drinking is like the national pass-time here. As a matter of fact, I've got whiskey through there that I've not crackted into yet...excuse me :D

coming out as gay a few years ago almost cost me my life.

i thought that i was gay b/c of the unclean thoughts.. I went on a major guilt trip

bottom line you are what you are. never was a choice.

if you believe that god created all then who are you to second guess god

if you don't then you are what you are there was never a choice

I guess I've just been letting the Republicans and KKK get to me. I wish they'd both go away.

Today I learned that a pint of tea is quite reasonable. (I've always been better with metric - child of Trudeau's era...)

...and I'm okay with that...

but Pianist, it was your grampa who taught you how to properly give head?!?!?

My Grandpa was born in Stirling. I've always wanted to got to Scotland one day. Sorry, this has nothing to do with the thread. I shall move on.

Stirling is generaly crap. Glasgow's the place to go.

It was my grandfather who taught me to pour beer so as to put a proper head on it. :)

Though it's true, I don't drink a lot... I'd still like to experience the atmosphere... and who knows, I might just go beyond my usual two drink limit if it feels right. It's happened before. :)

Aye, the atmosphere is the dogs bollocks. You will, in all honesty, never get better patter than in a scottish pub.

Personally Madonna I think you need to stop worrying about other people and start forming your own opinions.

Fair shout man. Madge, set of baws need to be developed here.
