For me, i just say:
"the person you need to talk to is not here, leave your phone number".

The Telemarketers put their phones down immediately.
This happened many times.

So the above method is the quickest way.
What do you think is the quickest way ?

I don't know the quickest way, but the most fun way is flirting with them, or being totally gross. As in, they call and I tell them they interrupted my masturbation and I need to cum soon.

I don't get any, I get collection calls :D

I need my sugar daddy to pay my bills.

I just let my dad handles those calls. Typically the telemarketers either get scared or frustrated at my dad's incoherent English skill and hang up.

If its a male I ask how big their cock is. If its a female I ask how big her tits are. They ALWAYS hang up.

It's obvious who they are just by looking at the caller I.D. I push the talk button, then immediately press the end button. If I let the answering machine pick up, usually there is no message (phone hangs up immediately), or there is a silent message with lots of noise in the background until they figure out that an answering machine answered. I don't think there is usually a person on the phone when they first call, it's a computer generated call. I think there is also a way to get put on a no call list, but don't know how that works.

As soon as I realise who they are (usually within the first second) I just interrupt them and say: "I'm not interested in whatever it is you're about to try and sell me; good day to you", and hangup. I try not to be rude but sometimes it's difficult!

The vast majority of telemarketing calls I get are computer-dialled and voice-recorded with no access to a live operator or no way to ask for my number to be removed from the calling list, all of which are completely illegal in Canada.

Lately, they have all been for credit cards, and I get the same call almost every day.

I don't see how other countries can get away with breaking our laws.

If it's bothering you, you can actually register your details so that companies can no longer contact you regarding sales. (For Australians only)

Here's a link to sign up: https://www.donotcall.gov.au/

There are a few loopholes. For example, if you have a contract with one company, they can still contact you trying to cross-sell new products. You would have to inform those particular companies individually if you no longer wanted them to contact you.

I tell them I am bankrupt, and near death's door.

They don't even say they're sorry before they hang up.

Bad manners.

We don't get them anymore, but my mother used to tell them we're not interested and to take our phone number off of their calling list.

By law here in Canada, there must be access to a real person to ask that your phone number be removed from their call list or, failing that, a mechanical way of doing it. If the company fails to remove your number from the list and you receive another call from them, you can report them and they can be fined and their service discontinued.

A lot of out-of-country telemarketers get past this law by using computer-diallers and voice recordings with no way to ask for your number to be removed.

If they are going to do business in Canada, they should at least stop breaking our laws to do so.

If we're talking speed, then a quick 'fuck you' and hanging up is great.
You have to remember though, some of these people have your contact details in front of them.

If I have time on my hands, I'll try listen to what they're offering, even though I know I won't be interested. I then decline.
I know it's irritating, but some of these cold calling, call centre employees go through a lot of shit for a pay slip.
