  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
    Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What Is Your Heritage?

On mums side Scottish, Welsh and Irish...on dads side Irish Welsh, French and Romany Gypsy for a touch of spice!

I'm 1/3 Italian, 1/3 French and 1/3 German.

Howwwwww?

Parents=2

you're 1/2 one 1/2 another

1/2 will never properly break down into 1/3 no matter how hard you try...

Unless you somehow merged three people DNA exactly to form you...

Father's side-Italian-English...Mothers side...american indian,french, scot, and spanish

Then switch one of those to 2/4 and the other two to 1/4. You guys happy?

People make mistakes. Move on.

Grandmother on Mother's side: 1/2 Irish, 1/2 German
Grandfather on Mother's side: 1/2 Swedish, 1/2 German

Mother = 1/2 German, 1/4 Irish, 1/4 Swedish

Grandmother on Father's side: 100% German
Grandfather on Father's side: 1/2 Irish, 1/2 mutt (some mixture of english or dutch as it's believed but I have somewhat decidedly eastern european features so I'm thinking more likely Czech, Polish, or Russian Jewish)

Which makes me: 50% German, 25% Irish, 12.5% Swedish, 12.5% Something Else I perceive to be from the eastern bloc.

I am half Indian, and half Italian. My mom is 100% Indian and she was born and raised in Mumbai until she moved to New York City for college. My dad's 100% Italian but his family had been in New York City for a couple generations. Luckily, my mom taught me and my siblings Hindi and Gujarati growing up so we are all near-fluent in both languages, and my dad can speak both fairly well too.

I can go back till 1618.
All my ancestors are Germans, but - by the way - the Germans are even a mixture.
