Sex God
I like to both interact with the date toget to know him, but also have something else to fall back on when the conversation lags (which it can on first dates). So I'm not crazy about movies (can't interact) and not big on bars (not much else going on). I like ambling through a mall or museum, or the zoo. Maybe a bar on trivia night. A fun cheap one is to rent lousy movies (I like social guidance films from the 40s and 50s), make some fun appetizers or main dishes (spam casserole), then just have fun watching and laughing.
I completely agree with you. I don't find the cinema being an ideal location for dating either. I remember once when I went on a date with a guy in the cinema and I just sat there, totally stiff and didn't no what to do or not to do. Tried to concentrate on the movie but wanted something to happened as well and when he took my hand I didn't know what to do. It's just difficult there in the dark and you can't see the different signals etc. But of course I also think it depends on how well you know each other and how many dates you've been on etc.
I'd rather go on a date where you're active as well. The best dates I've been on have been the dates where you're out seeing and doing something that you don't do every day. A guy once drove me far away as a surprise, to a safari park - that was really fun and I've never been. But I've also always wanted to go ice skating on a date - it sounds so much fun
