You bought my first mac, an 14" ibook, so I wanted to know, what mac users are out here and what macs they own.

JUB Owns:

Seth's computers: Dual G5 2 ghz Tower and 14" Powerbook G4
Thundercizzle has a new 15.4" Macbook Pro
Keys is getting a Quadcore 2.5 ghz tower next week (ordered but not shipped).

Everyone else is on Windows for the most part and even the three of us use both pretty much daily. But with all the video and magazine stuff, we definitly use mac a lot around here.

I had an old iMAC, lime, and was getting very very slow, it was about 5 yrs old. So this year, with income tax return, I bought a new 17" Powerbook, man is it ever sweet. I love it!! In taking to the mac salesperson(Matt, and cute) he said that since mac is the only system I know, I would not be happy with a PC, so I should stick with the Mac's. I'm glad I did. I did not intend to get the 17" either, I was going to get the 15", but when I went to purchase, they had 3 of the 17" in stock, and had reduced the price to $1895.oo which was cheaper than the 15"

Only computers I've ever owned are Macs. Currently running a G5 Dual 1.8 Ghz.

Having had to work in the PC environment and come home to my Mac, there is a lot of difference and I'm glad I didn't have to keep up the PCs because it was a constant job. Ugh.

Love me, love my Mac.

Let's see... I have an iBook G3 the old school of the new version (no more colors just white). My brother has the iBook G4. His girlfriend has a iBook G5. My parents have a Grape iMac, but that is about to change. And I still have my old Macintosh Performa. I would say apple is my lifeblood. (Of course I have my iPod as well and I am looking forward to getting a newer iBook in the near future). Apple Rules!!! To all those Apple lovers I have thought about sending a basker of apples to Bill Gates funeral when he kicks the bucket. I still hate him for the things he did to Steve Jobs. What do you think about my basket of apples idea?

Macs I own:
PowerBook G3 Firewire "Pismo" 500 Mhz
Cube G4 450 Mhz
MacMini G4 1,5 Ghz

I like Macs, because they work.

I love macs ( and guys who use them)! ..|

I have a 17inch PowerBook G4. I want to get a 17inch MacBook Pro but I will wait till I finish school for that.

I have owned a Performa 6200, a grape iMac, a G3 iBook and a G4 iBook.

I still have the iMac and the G4 iBook. It's amazing to think that I have been a Mac user for so long. I can and have used PC's but I much prefer Mac's.

I am not aware of any instance when I have not been able to do something because I use Mac and not PC. That seems the most common argument of software not being available for Mac.

but I'm also considering the Big Switch to Windows, just to see what it's like.

I would stick to a Mac and if you want to try Windows - get Apples' Boot Camp and a legal version of Windows and dual boot on the Mac. Then if you dislike / hate / detest Windows you don't need to fork out for another computer. However, if you like it (but why would you?) you'll have the best of Apple and the <coughs> best of Microsoft on one system.

I have an iMac G5 w/ iSight 1.9Ghz 17" (one of the last before the iMac Intel Core Duo came out). This is my first Mac and I don't ever intend in going back to a PC! I just love it and the fact everything works.

cool, we have the same computer. . .

you can all start being jealous now:

It's the very first in the first generation of iMacs
a G3 processor at 233 MHz and 128 MB of ram
Mac OsX doesn't run on it very well, so it runs Fedora Core 5

and you know what? with Fedora Core, this machine might be an elderly lady; but she carries a big brick in her purse.

I don't currently own one.

I formerly had a G4 tower (upgraded to a dual 500) and a PB G3 (bronze keyboard).

I might switch back in the future if a real docking system is developed and a couple of my programs are released for OS X (Nikon Capture, Pronto Edit, and a couple others)

Ok, guys, just changed my desktop computer too. Got an Mac Mini G5, 1,5 GHz with Superdrive. Perfect :) After 12 years of using Windows, I am now a "mac-only" user :)

I have owned about six Macs now. I hate Windows, so much trouble and hackers out there to break it. Why can't they do something good with their time. I had a 15" Powerbook and loved it. I had to give it up. I have this six year old Windows machine at home, hate it. I want a Mac but have to save some money for it.

Mac Rule! Best Machines by far.

His girlfriend has a iBook G5.

Where'd you find one of those? Apple never made a G5 iBook.
But anyway, we have 2 Powerbook G4s. An iMac G5 and and eMac.

We also have 5 iPods. 2 nanos, 1 original iPod, 1 shuffle and 1 w/ the video capabilities.

I have a 12" iBook G3, and a 20" iMac G5. Will add the 17" MacBook Pro to the family this year.

Also have a 4GB Nano.

at the moment, I have a 12" iBook G4, a 17" iMac G5, and last Thursday, added a black MacBook to the family. I'm in process of trying to sell the iBook.

In the past, I had an iMac G4, a Titanium Powerbook, an iMac G3, a Power Mac G3, and before that, i don't even remember what the names of the models were!
