  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What song was number one when you were born?

I'm somewhat jealous of you, Travisevian. I love The Reflex.

^ I was about to say the same thing. Sure, the lyrics make no damned sense whatsoever, but no one seemed to care at the time.

For those who weren't young teenagers in the early/mid 80's, it hard describe how HUGE Duran Duran were at the time. I can remember cranking up their albums and dancing around my bedroom with my moussed hair and Sister's eyeshadow and...

err...

Perhaps I've said too much. ;)

Smoke, Smoke, Smoke that Cigarette

:band:

Ironic because I've never smoked (a cigarette) in my life...

Ohhh back then jonathan Knight was sooo dreamy..... XD

I havent seen him these days but I bet he looks good

It's funny how I was just looking at the Billboard website a couple weeks ago with my son, Levy. He and I share the same birthday, this coming Sunday. He turns 19. The hit song on his day was 'I Will Always Love You' by Whitney Houston. Appropriate song because I will always be crazy about my son.

Okay....I'll admit it, and no wisecracks, please.......

From October 1963.....

I already knew my #1 date-of-birth song, but I was curious if it was different in the UK instead of the US... but no, same song both sides of the pond:

I don't know about the rest of the world... do other countries have top-forty charts?

Happy Together - The Turtles

Half of these songs mentioned I remember from my teenage years.

Thanks for a fun topic.
