What TV shows do you want to see remade or rebooted?

Personally, Jayne's the one appearing in my dreams nude... very very nude.

omg i cant believe i forgot about dead like me
Love that show too.

I would like to see a show called The Tribe remade/rebooted here in the US. The Tribe is a post-apocalyptic teen drama about teens and kids who must rebuild the world/civilization in the wake of the spread of a virus that has killed all of the adults in the world. They also go through teenage stuff/adolescent issues such as sex, romance, fears, betrayals, ambitions, friendships as this is all happening. If they do reboot it they need to have the creator of the series Raymond Thompson be an executive producer for the show like Ricky Gervais is for the US version of The Office.

I liked Showtime's "Beggars and Choosers" with Charlotte Ross, Brian Kirwin, Tuc Watkins, Wm. McNamara, etc. The story revolved around a tv network, somewhat like "Episodes." Very funny.

But ... maybe two seasons was enough. I wish it were available on disc.

OOOOH carnivale WAS a good show. i really wished they never cancelled the series. it was really good and had a lot of potential for some really good story lines.

Carnivale was always written to be a six season show, with three iterations of the good vs evil battle for every two seasons. Unfortunately, they could only get through the first iteration. A terrible terrible shame.

yea i remember reading an article on that, i was really hoping that Daniel Knauf would continue the series in the form of books or comics or whatever. it was a really promising show

i guess i would really like to see them also try and reboot buffy the vampire slayer or the X-files, but the X-files has had so many shows imitate them afterward that i don't know if it needs to be rebooted.

I know it's still on and very popular, but I want them to remake Glee. It's a great idea on paper, and the first episodes were really good, but it's just terrible now. I'll be looking for a remake in about 20 years.

With Glee they have the perfect opportunity - each year the kids graduate and if they just had the courage to let them go and bring in new people they could reinvent the show ever couple of years - but instead they keep trying to hold on to the older cast who have graduated already.

I also was very upset when Pushing Daises was canceled - great story and visually very interesting -

But overall I am not that big a fan of remakes - they seldom are as good as the originals and I keep thinking doesn't anyone have a new idea anymore?

I was seeing this show mentioned online in various lists of shows "gone too soon" or "unappreciated at their time but finding a new audience now" so earlier this year I plowed through watching all of its episodes in weekend marathons. I agree with you - the striking visual style (and music, too) really leaped out to capture you, and I liked the way they didn't blow the interesting premise; kept the quality high throughout the episodes.

I loved Carnivale! It is the glaring example of a great show that ended way too soon. Freek and Geeks is another.

I would have liked to see more of ROME as well.

My other choice is a bit silly but I loved Animal Practice this past year...it got cancelled after maybe five episodes but I have been watching the rest of them on ROKU because HULU has the unaired eps. The reason I loved Animal Practice...Justin Kirk and Rizzo

STARTREK.......... There's really not a good space sci-fi show on, come to think of it I don't think there's any at all right now.
I keep praying that startrek will come on to the TV screen soon even though we have the movies its just not the same.

I was just about to type the same thing. I need another spin off. I'd like to keep it in the original continuum and keep the reboot in the theatre.

I'd also like to see a Buffy spin off with all new characters.

I love space operas and I would love to see a modern take on Babylon 5. Something in the vein of the recent Battlestar Galactica. B5 was pretty good in its own way, interesting characters that took on different and often unpredictable paths. I would also like to see a gay main protagonist in a sci-fi series.

I'd gladly settle for reruns of Bab 5. Loved it.

They are sort of bringing back Boy Meets World. Its going to be called Girl Meets World and its about Corey and Topanga's daughter. Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel have signed on. I couldn't be more happy. That was my favorite show.
