What was the last play that you watched?

Last night I saw Leap of Faith at a community theater. The play was okay, maybe even good, but the performances were wonderful. It was a musical with about 67% of the dialog sung. The lead guy was sick so someone else filled in and he held a booklet with his lines, but he and the other actors were so good that you forgot he was glancing at his lines. Although it isn't a big theater, holding about 80 seats, they somehow fit in 10 musicians as well. I don't know where they get their actors, but they were great and I enjoyed myself.

Just got in from Tina: The Musical.

5/10

All three of us were bored. My friends I was with knows Tina Turner's music and they both said they changed the sound to much. Total let down.

A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder

I will add this here, but I am pissed with myself. For only the second time since I have been going to plays I fell asleep. What I did see I loved though. The sets were amazing.

Finally got to see A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder.

It was a smaller production so I felt the staging need more space and money put into it, but the story was good.

Last night I saw a play at a small black box theatre called "Clark Gable Slept Here." The cast was great and the play was very funny! And there was a naked hot guy in the play too!

This is terrible.

The last live play we saw was Come From Away.

We have usually gone several times a year to Stratford, but gave the tickets to my sis this year.

Last night I saw "I love a Piano." The show was okay. I think the second half was better than the first half. The music of Irving Berlin! Very little dialogue and lots of singing! All the performers were excellent! Only 6 people in the cast, 3 men and 3 women. Very small cast! They did have a live orchestra, which made it better!

Just got in from Les Mis.

Saw it years ago, but both my friend and I could not hear it at all. Now I know they offer listening devices.

8/10

I really liked it, but felt too long to me. Also our showing had tech issues. Both lighting and sound were bad at parts. Glad I saw it though.

Last night I saw the National Touring Production of "Funny Girl." The show was great! The music in this show is wonderful and well known!

This is one of my favorite musicals!

Friday night I saw Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at a neighborhood theater. It was enjoyable. Last night it wasn't a play, but I saw the North Coast Men's Chorus. Both shows were enjoyable.

This afternoon I saw a One Man play, "Teyve in New York." It is a sequel to "Fiddler on the Roof." It was written and stars Tom Dugan. He was excellent! The play was great!

One of our local theatre companies did Every Brilliant Thing this past month, and it was fucking amazing. The last play I worked on was Stage Kiss by Sarah Ruhl, and it was delightful. This past summer I directed Five Lesbians Eating a Quiche, which was an absolute blast. I don't think I've acted since our production of The Cemetery Club in October 2022.

Last night I saw the National Touring Production of "Hadestown." The music and the acting was great. I thought the show was just so-so!

I was bored the first act, but I felt the second act was great.

Saw The Lion King again on Thursday.

Worst production I have seen and this was my sixth. Most of the actors seemed like they talked their songs and none of the main cast, but a couple even seemed like they could act. Overall a let down.

I was in New York summer of 2023. I loved "Funny Girl," with my girl Lea Michele, she was spectacular.

I also saw Some Like It Hot, an old-fashioned musical with great jazz music.
