What was the last play that you watched?

Saw Mamma Mia tonight with my mother and friend.

I have wanted to see it for years, but never had the money when it came to Oregon before. It was good, but I built it up too much in my head so I was let down.
 
last Thursday night at the Signature Theater: the new musical 'Diner' based on the film (with music and lyrics written by Sheryl Crow). it simply wow'd me!
 
I forgot to post a month ago. I saw Dirty Dancing. It does not work as a play at all.


Also last Thursday I saw R & H's Cinderella. It was okay, but not what I like in a musical.
 
I forgot about this thread, but I've seen a few plays recently that I thought I should mention.

The first one was called 6 Hotels. It was written by Israel Horowitz and is a series of six scenes, each with different characters. I thought it had a nice balance of humor and sadness. I saw it for free, but I would definitely recommend it.

The most recent play I've seen was called Vanya, and Masha, and Sonia, and Spike. It was written by Christopher Durang and is pretty good. It's funny and generally moves along at a good pace. It's also interspersed with a variety of references from other plays to pop culture. I would definitely recommend it!
 
last weekend I attended an outstanding local production of Terrence McNally's Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune.
 
Just got back from Phantom of the Opera. Saw it a few years ago and did not enjoy it. Tonight though was very good.
 
saw two UK plays having their US premiers here in Washington DC - NSFW at Round House and Jumpers for Goalposts at Studio Theater
 
Saw Wicked tonight. It was great. The actress playing Elphaba, Alyssa Fox, has one of the best voices I have ever heard.
 
Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie

Really truly stunning. Broke my heart, repeatedly, but such magnificent writing and acting.

I saw it in a small local theatre, and it was just such an intimate setting.

Made the play feel really personal.

Burnadette Peters is amazing.
