The Prince has ignored the proposal. Buckingham Palace keeps away from the idiotic squabbles which go on in the colonies.

This particular hate-filed squabble has been going in Australia since the 1890 when MPs were given a salary. Fools who are better suited for being a truck-driver or a check-out chick realised they could get a more comfortable position in one of Australia's many parliaments. :rolleyes:

Bishop is as vile as Abbott. Turnbull is the only one who'll be able to return a LNP Government for a second term. He could probably out last Howard's record except the Libs over here are infected with US Tea Party ideology these days, so Turnbull's more moderate views won't go down with the caucus.
 
^ He seems an OK guy - perhaps a bit more of an academic than a politician really (he use to be a TV historian before he went into politics). But he defends things well and using actual reason more often than not.

I hope not. I want Abbott as leader at the next election. I want him to face the electorate & concede defeat. I think it will come down to what happens to Mike Baird at the election in March. There should be almost no chance of Baird losing, but the LNP polls are starting to drop.

If Baird gets hammered or loses it will be about 80% because of Federal issues. Baird has a long-term vision for the rejuvenation of Sydney, the Western Sydney Plan & regional centre job creation programs, not to mention his transport infrastructure plan for not only urban but regional areas.

The whole lot of it is dependent on leasing the electricity network and the $20 odd billion it will raise. NSW will be a different place in a couple of decades if he can win this election.
 
My friend Luca lives on the sucoast near Brisbane he is bitching about it being hot and humid and has to cut the grass. Big pussy I told him I would call the whammmmmmmmbulance!
